Luxury hotel in Highlands

Hi we are a family of 10 adults & 1 kid (4 yrs). We want to spend 6 nights in Scotland in June this year. Slipt equally between Highlands & Edinburgh.

Please suggest good luxury hotel in the Highlands. We are all vegetarians. So need good dining options in/ near the hotel. Good Indian food is added advantage.

Right now we have the option of -

Cameron House on Loch Lomond

The Gleneagles Hotel Perthshire

Please suggest good options in Highlands. Also if we have to choose between the above 2 -which is better in terms of comfort, scenic beauty & food.

Looking forward to your suggestions.. Thank u!

I don' think that you will find many Indian restaurants in the middle of the highlands outside of large towns like Inverness and Fort William. In Edinburgh you will have a large selection.

Both Gleneagles (which has a Michelin Starred restaurant) and Cameron House would be happy to make vegetarian food for you. They will have veggie options anyway. Neither hotel is in the Highlands though. Both are in nice locations. Gleneagles is the better hotel but I would say Cameron House has the better scenery.

If you can afford it then look at Inverlochy Castle luxuryscotland.co.uk/inverlochy/index.html

Inverlocky Castle is a great option, superb food cooked specially for you, with Albert Roux as the executive chef, they also have an annex away from the main hotel that would accommodate our whole family. Wonderful grounds. have not stayed for about 10 years but it was well worth the price

Also, I did see Corrour Estate as well as Inver Lodge. Both are stunning. However, I would like to stay close to a town due to food and medical reasons. By grandfather is a heart patient. So please suggest something in/ near Inverness or Fort William.
