Restaurant with a view

A small gathering on a Wednesday lunchtime in June but where? Location vaguely between Comber and Castlewellan. Afterwards some of us will drive to Co Kerry so nothing too far off the beaten track. Want decent food and ideally a bit of a view. Mourne Seafood in Dundrum would be ideal but they are not open. I know Villa Vinci in Newcastle also. All suggestions welcome.

Hi Eileen

The ultimate view in my mind would be The Scullery at Scrabo golf club (women welcome - a topical golfing reference!) Views across Strangford Lough from Scrabo hill.

Alternatively, Daft Eddies on Sketrick Island may fit the bill.

I could give you some better options for food (based on my opinions of course) but have suggested those two based on the views alone. Having said that; I have eaten at both and there have been no problems at all with the food.

Olive Bizaare, Newcastle.

Great lunchtime food and a lovely view across Dundrum Bay to St John's Point.
