Does the cat tavern still accept luggage storage? They don't have any website for me to ask..
The last report was this one in October last year:
"They still take luggage as of 16th Oct 2015. 4pound for each piece. They will give you a piece of paper with a number on it as a ticket".
We have no reason to think that this has changed,
The Cat Tavern is a pretty shoddy place. The staff is unbearably rude. The local customers are down right scary. Enter at you own risk. There are much better places just down the road. Cheaper and nicer digs.
Stephen, this topic is about places where visitors can leave their luggage in Salisbury whilst visiting Stonehenge, not about having a drink there or staying there overnight
The Cat tavern may not be the nicest pub in Salisbury, but as far as we know it is the only place that offers a left luggage facility near the Rail Station. However if you know of other places that definitely do this, please could you list them here as visitors to Salisbury do not have time to walk the streets trying to find them.
Just to top and tail this for other readers as at 9 September 2016. I have spoken the Cat Tavern today.
Yes there's a left luggage facility, it's £4/item and they are open 8am-11pm.
Has anyone on these boards actually left their luggage at this tavern?
Most of the Advisors on this forum live in the area so have no need to leave luggage at "The Cat". However there is a different thread containing reports from people that have used the facility - see https://www.tripadvisor.co.uk/ShowTopic-g186… .
See my post #5, yes it's still working.....
I think that Campion is wanting to hear people's experiences of actually leaving their luggage there.
We just visited Salisbury and Stonehenge on March 23, 2017. We went to The Cat Tavern when it still take luggage storage, cost 4 pounds for each luggage. That was great help for us. After that, we took tour bus heading to Stonehenge.Edited: 28 March 2017, 01:35
