things to do in Newcastle Upon Tyne

Hi! I'll be travelling to Newcastle in the second last week of October and I'm making a list of all the things to do, sights to see, places to go in, things to explore etc in Newcastle.

Any suggestions? :D

There are so many possibilities. It would be helpful if you could tell us what sort of things you like doing.

When I visited in the summer I wasn't keen to walk too far (nasty insect bite on my ankle) so spent a lot of time navigating by the City Sightseeing HoHo. The route map gives you an idea of the sort of things you might like to see. https:/…hop-on-hop-off-newcastle-gateshead.

I found plenty to do and now have a big list of places to (re)visit.

It is half term for quite a few schools that week (not sure about local ones) so it might be worth checking what is on.

If you are worried about things to do, there are plenty of places to visit within a 60 minute train ride (York/Durham/Hadrians Wall/Beamish....). I thought ADVANCE fares were very reasonable (compared to availability of such tickets down here).
