Does anyone know if the City Rail Link Bus Service still operates? This connects the Chester Railway Station with the City Centre, circular route.
Yes, you should be able to after 0930, as it is an ordinary bus service.
Unless it's raining heavily or if you have lots of luggage, or if you are unsteady on your feet, it's only a 10 minute walk up City Road, through the subway and then along Foregate Street into the centre.
Not really worth hanging around for a bus at the railway station when you can be halfway to the centre on foot. ;-)
Agree with Matt. Point of note, same directions, but you do not need to use the subway.Edited: 02 January 2016, 11:17
Agree with the above. If you can't use the city bus, there are a number of routes (1 and 2) that go from the station through to the city centre. These are operated by arriva and will certainly take the card.
Just to confirm, the Coty Link bus is still running and does accept English senior bus passes.
Thanks everyone for your helpful replies, very much appreciated
