Stay in Mont Tremblant City or Village?

Hi,

Which is more preferable to stay in? Mont Tremblant City or Mont Tremblant Village? We are torn between the two. Also, we will not have a car. We will be taking a shuttle from the Mont Tremblant airport so not having a vehicle will make a difference. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

Mont Tremblant Village is the place to stay. When are you going?

If you desire to go to Mont Tremblant City (Ste Jovite) then take a bus or taxi for a day trip, your hotel might be able to arrange something for you

We are here now at least the Fairmont on the mountain. We have not went to the downtown yet but had dinner in the old village. The old village is lovely and cheaper. Some of the B&B's seem nice. The Fairmont is great and there are many hotels in the Village. We are off to explore it today. It seems more contrived but we shall see. It is about a 10 minute drive from our hotel to the old village.

There is the resort, new, definitely contrived and pricey. This is where the ski hill is and where most tourists stay.

There is the village of Tremblant, cute and more locals. Some lovely b&b's.

Then there is the St Jovite sector, where regular folk live, work and eat. Here are a couple of good budget friendly hotels.

Three very different places.
