Tent Camping

Has anyone camped (tent) in or near Stratford? Are there any campgrounds you would recommend? Thanks!

There are not a lot of camping options near Stratford. Wildwood Conservation Area in St Mary's is probably the closest, but I've not camped there. It is listed on the Stratford Festival website though. wildwoodconservationarea.ca/overnight-campin…

Nith River Campground in New Hamburg is more appropriate for RV's, not tenting.

Closest provincial parks are an hour & a half west on Lake Huron. Closest national park is at Tobemory - 4 hours away.

Wildwood is great, and close to the festival - we camp there every time we come to town to see plays.

Wildwood Conservation Area is our choice when visiting Stratford for the plays. 30 minutes away. An easy drive. Already have reservations for Sept 2018 for a week.
