Best places to stay??

So many choices. Want special, outstanding hotel and location for special anniversary. Golf near by a plus. Smaller property a plus. Recommendations? Special restaurant recommendations? January trip.

Nothing better than the Grand Solmar resort for a romantic stay. This amazing resort is tucked Into Lands End by the Famous arch.

Its close to the Marina and walkable to town. Great onsite pools, restaurants and wonderful Spa.

All rooms have great Ocean views. You will have whales spouting right off you balcony in January.

The La Rosa restaurant onsite is terrific, on the water.

Sunset Da Mona Lisa is very romantic.

January is a great time. Fit in some whale watching or plan to just sit by a pool and watch them out in the water. They seem to be closer into shore near Solomar than on the corridor.

Our favorite for extraordinary service is the Resort at Pedregal (get a Dos Mares suite), just a bit down the beach from Solomar. Depending on your budget, there will be about a half dozen top end places to look at: Ventanas, Esperanza, One&Only and others will post with more ideas. I think One&Only has their own golf course?

Take a look through the Earth Sea & Sky 'brochure' and their web cams. ( www.cabovillas.com ) for some ideas on all the options! Lots of wonderful choices.

Also, www.trapperscabolist.com has great restaurant help!

(Bajo La Luna is one good thought for a wonderful dinner, but there are many wonderful places-perhaps try a new one each evening to keep the celebration going! )

I don't think of GS as a 'small resort', and it isn't close to golf, but then, it is right at the tip of Land's End and being right on the Pacific is wonderful.

Yes the O & O has it's own course! https:/…award-winning-golf

Two new resorts will also fit your needs.

Chileno Bay resort is on a great swimmable beach and has its own golf course.

The new Montage Resort on swimmable Santa Maria bay also has its own golf course.
