Viva Wyndham Maya, just got home, questions?

Just got back from the Viva Wyndham Maya last night (to blowing snow and cold I might add!), any questions? Will post a review shortly.

How was the weather, and did you need a sweater in the evenings? We are staying at the Azteca on Monday for 2 weeks-any tips?

Hi,

I am going on Monday and wanted to know how you liked the restaurants. Also do they have games and activities where you win something.

Hi 2Brits

Take a hoodie / sweater or light jacket. Weather was up around 28 degrees except for 2 days where it got quite cool in the evening. I hear the weather for next week is going to be good so enjoy! Remember the Maya and Azteca are not 5 star hotels, try a little spanish, smile occasionally and leave a tip, you will find the staff will treat you very well. Lastly, there is a vacation club, if you are interested, fine, if not just say "no gracias" and they will leave you alone.

Hi Jewelspy

We are not really a la carte people however heard that the Mexican in the Maya is good and the Bamboo (chinese) in the Azteca is also very good. Yes, there are games around the pool and you can usually win a "T" shirt!

Enjoy your vacation :)

Thanks for the tips, sucks about the weather back home for you, hopefully spring is around the corner! We are not 5 star people so laid back sun, drinks and beach are just fine for us :)

Hi again,

Were there lots of kids and adults doing the flying trapeze? Also is there a teen club?

Hi Agnessz

There was a wide range of ages at the resort. A lot of families with teens because they charge child prices up to the age of 17. Having said that we met a lot of people in their early to mid twenties who were having a great time! Being as it is spring break time I don't think you will be dissapointed.

Hi jewelspy

There is a teen club but not very active, that could be because we are not early risers and missed some of the activities. The Trapeze is open to kids in the morning and adults in the afternoon, but I think most adults are chicken! as the kids used it more than anybody. The wait was not very long, try it :)
