Travelers Cheque questions

Does anyone know if you can use travelers cheques to gamble in the casino at Atlantis? How about in the Straw Market? Is cash better?

The casino cage at Atlantis will cash Traveler's checks without any fees or hassle. That's how I generally bring money to Atlantis since there are no fees for cashing the checks and I get AmEx checks from my credit union for free.

The way I remember the straw market is it is very flea marketish and you bargain, so cash in my opinion would probably be the only thing that works!

Straw market takes cash only. Bring your travelers cheques at cash them at the cage. (I think the front desk cashes them also, but for a fee).

You'll need cash for Straw market, street vendors, taxis and tips.

Some local restaurants (a few a the fish fry) take cash only. But mainly Credit Cards. Not sure if the smaller spots at the Fish Fry would take a travelers Check either.
