Locking things at Cinnamon Bay

Are there safe deposit box type things at Cinnamon Bay Campground to lock up our passports and such? I know the doors of the cottages have locks, but I wouldn't want to leave passports and such in there with screen walls.

Leaving in 2 weeks!

Yes, they have small lockers, the kind that you drop a quarter in (but it may be a couple quarters)and turn the key and take it out. The keys have safety pins attached so easy to pin to your suit. The lockeers are in a small room between the desk and restaurant. The room is open from 8am-8pm.

Enjoy

Good question: We kept our things in the rental car. There's a lot of traffic through the campground and not much security.

I will say that the only time we had something stolen was in a fancy villa run by a paid management company. It was stolen the same day the maid came to visit...um.....

We also kept things in the refrigerator! in a coffee can. Oops, secret out now.

Hint - get out of the campground and see other beaches, especially east side by Coral Bay. Take the girls to VIERS, an environmental education center that they will really enjoy and learn from.

And the rainbows when it rains are spectacular from the Cinammon Bay. Get alot of mosquito netting, repellent and get the girls out of the water by 3:30. The sand fleas are wicked there and can kill the trip. Also make sure your bedding, beds and pillows are clean before you go to bed. The sugar ants and sand fleas get into the cottage.

And see if the pelicans will dive right by your head, ignoring you standing in the water!

There is a small lockable box in the room. It looks like a toaster and you need your own lock. We have never had a problem at Cinnamon and don't know of anyone who has.
