Wednesday arrival / 5 flights - immigration time

I’m hoping I can get feedback without WWIII breaking out for the 500th time here :)

We arrive on a Wednesday in early December on the direct flight from Charlotte arriving at 2:25. Looking at the airport tracker, it looks like around 5 flights generally arrive around the same time (within 30 minutes).

Given that, what should I expect for immigration lines? We are pretty close to the front of the plane (not business).

Last year we came right as things were opening up after the hurricanes so sailed through in about 5 minutes. Guessing that won’t be the case this year!

No WWW3 would be heartwarming, I hope there is some self control with your easy question...

It depends on many factors. Which day of the week since not every airline comes every day, does your flight make it first of the 5 scheduled, how many agents they have, etc. My guess would be about a half hour since we have been in that flight many times, usually on the dreaded Saturday, and that has been the average.

Your flight is supposed to come first and on a Wednesday it looks like 4 flights instead of 5 around that time. With some luck you will breeze through. Enjoy your trip!

Joe - thank you!

The flight tracker I used is the Flight Stats app.

Don't think early Dec arrival on a Wednesday will be bad. As always, baggage claim is the log jam.

Just keep in mind, once you clear the airport, you're in PARADISE!

Enjoy!

I agree, I say 20-30 minutes. If checked bags, actually the same.

Early December is still slow.

We came in on that same flight two Sundays ago and had no problems at all. It was 51 minutes from the time the seatbelt light was turned off until we were driving away in our rental car which I was very happy with! We pretty much walked though immigration without stopping as long as you have your form filled out on the plane. Many people hadn't filled it out on the plane so they had to stop and do it on arrival costing them more time.
