We'll be taking a cab from the airport to Grand Case. Is there a market in Marigot that we can stop at to get supplies? Water, wine, fruit, cheese, snacks etc.? Or is there just a better place when we get to Grand Case. It just seems to make sense to try to stop on the way.

Thanks

There is a Super U on your way up to Grand Case in Marigot. That is the most direct one, especially if you are not renting a car. We stayed in Grand Case too, and there is no shopping there. Since we had a car, we hit the Super U a few miles outside of Grand Case (heading towards Orient Beach) almost every day. Loved it

Chateau,

Where did you park your rental in Grand Case? Private residence or were you at a hotel (and if so, which one and did it provide parking)? Thanks in advance.

We stayed at Temps De Cerises hotel. Since booking last May (when it was roadside parking) to our trip in January, they acquired a grassy lot off the road almost across the street from them. It made parking SO much easier. Otherwise, I have no idea how people find spots on the roads!

Thanks for the heads-up! That property looked interesting --- they have a restaurant attached, yes? I've heard good things about that hotel. How did you enjoy your stay there and would you go back or choose somewhere else?

The hotel is amazing! It’s extremely well appointed and all the rooms open to the ocean. They have a restaurant and bar too that is super cozy. My one issue was 2 of the rooms open right up to the main dining room. It gets loud if there is live music and I happen to be an early sleeper. But it gets quiet again around 11pm and it only happened one night we were there. And you are walking distance to the restaurants.

@Chateau

Did you walk to/from GC restaurants and hotel at night? Lots of people out, or were you the only ones walking grand Case Blvd after dark?

The walk is minimal because the hotel is very centerally located. The longest walk was Lolos and that may have been 5 min? And people are walking all the time up and down the roads. Grand Case is quiet compared to some other areas, but very walkable and had some great restaurants near by

To answer your question more directly, we never felt unsafe walking any time of day because there were always people on the streets. :)
