Cruise Pier Construction

I have heard that the cruise.pier is under construction and ships are not stopping at this port. Any one know how long the construction will last?

Bonaire has two adjacent piers.

The south pier is used for cruise ships when not receiving freight or cargo to supply the island. It is currently undergoing much-needed renovations. Construction began in June and was originally expected to be completed in early October, although it appears they're still working on it.

The north pier, used almost exclusively by cruise ships, is still open and is currently receiving cruise ships. The current cruise ship schedule can be found several places elsewhere on the web.

Ugggghhhhh, RCCL just cancelled our call into Bonaire - so disappointing...now we're going to St. Kitts. No comparison to Bonaire.

Wonder why our cruise ship, Freedom of the Seas, doesn’t just go to the other pier? Is it too big for that pier?

@AggieMom262 the other pier is most likely occupied by another cruise ship.
