The when to book question is really relative to ones expereience with a place or comfort level with waiting. However from experience we've learned that if you find a place you like, the time is available and the price is right then book it.

If however you're going on a package sometimes it's a good idea to wait for sales, discounts or last minute deals but it really depends on what you're comfortable with and how much ytou want to go and the time you want to go

I found quite a few posts on Merlin Bay Villas, just put the name in the search box..

We stayed in Firefly Villa in June 2010 which is directly next door to Secret Garden. This is a great group of 8 villas nicely located close to Holetown and not too far from Speightstown. There was a family in Secret Garden during part of the time we were at Firefly.

What specifically would you like to know? I would be glad to answer any questions, if I can.

Hello

Thanks for the reply, can you tell me anything about the garden at 'Secret Garden' is it private with plenty of shade.

Also what's on the other side of the villa, off the complex and as far as you could tell is there any building works close by.

Did the family staying at 'Secret Garden' appear happy with their choice of villa,

Many thanks TBR8

Hello,

Yes, Secret Garden is set off slightly from the rest of the villas and there is a tall wall, (@ 6 ft.), separating it from the path in front of Firefly. There are lots of trees around but the sun does hit the back of Secret Garden where there are patios. Also, the way the villas are placed the only window on Firefly that looks out onto Secret Garden is the kitchen window.

The other side of Secret Garden is a shady parking lot and then the main road which is hidden by lots of trees and bushes. There was no building going on anywhere nearby that we saw or heard when we were there in June.

We only saw the family coming in late one afternoon while they were getting out of their car. They seemed to be happy as we heard no complaints.

Hope this helps. If you think of anything else, don't hesitate to ask.

Hello TBR,

Click on this hyperlink or copy and paste. Scroll down to the Secret Garden listing. You can see in a couple of the pictures what the garden looks like. It is great at Merlin Bay, you can't go wrong there.

Hope this helps.
