weather in March

Is anyone familiar with the weather in Bermuda in March? Would it be warm enough to swim in the ocean, or is it more likely we'd be restricted to swimming in heated pools only? Thanks!

check www.weather.bm for temps...will not be warm enough for ocean swimming-just heated pools. Best months in bermuda for ocean would be late may thru november. It will not be as crowded in march and you can enjoy the island without all the hussle-bussle-I think April will be better-not usually as windy.

The average Ocean Water Temperatures during March range from the low-to-mid-60ºs (from early-to-late in the month). This combined with daytime Air Temps that may range anywhere from the low-60º-to low-70ºs make extended periods in the ocean for swimming and watersports activities chillier than most (our neighbors in the 'Great White North' excepted) people find '..comfortable..'. For hangin' out on a perfect, pink, Bermuda beach and '..workin'..' on your tan...it's still fine..

If you still plan to stay at CLAIRFONT APARTMENTS, their swimming pool is NOT heated...though at this time of the year (March), '..solar..' heat gain may be enough for comfort.

A related question - will there be sufficient people on the popular beaches to give a "comfortable" feeling late March/early April?

Dont want to plan a trip and find myself the only person on the famous beaches - not comfortable with that :(

Tell the truth- you're just hoping to see some eye candy, right? LOL- j/k

Well obviously it depends on the actual weather on that particular day. But no, typically you will not find many people at the beach at that time of year.

HaHaHa :-)

I am ok with atleast a few people roaming around/relaxing; just dont want to see a totally deserted beach

Hello Everyone!

It looks like my husband and I will be visiting at the end of the month. Does anyone know if the pool at The Reefs is heated? We have stayed at the Southhampton Princess several times and the spa pool is heated. We are trying to change things up a bit.

Thanks!

You are likely to find other people on Bermuda's beaches in late-march/early-April....not many...but some

Frankly...one of the best things about some of Bermuda's great beaches is that you CAN find a small, secerulean blue, white cloud-streaked sky--all to yourself--alone--for a lmisecluded, rock crenellated cove/beach---pink sand, foamy-white fringe of surf, varing shades of aquamarine rge part of the day. Ya' can find crowds of people, with a damn sight less 'comfort' and personal safety...at the Jersey shore.

YES...the outdoor, 'horizonless' pool at The Reefs Hotel is heated.
