There is only one(1) hospital in Bermuda---KING EDWARD VII MEMORIAL HOSPITAL (KEMH)-- http://www.bermudahospitals.bm/ -- KEMH is a first class medical facility...and not some third-world '..bush clinic..'.

If you are that concerned about a complicated pregnancy, you should make certain that your OB/GYN knows (and approves) of your proposed travel plans... has all of your medical history/records collected to be transmitted to Bermuda in the case of emergency. For your own part (if you are that concerned about your condition) you should speak with your personal physician **DIRECTLY** and carry copies of any pertinent medical records that they deem prudent.

You should also check your your medical insurance carrier **DIRECTLY** to acertain if and what your medical coverages are in Bermuda....and since air medivac is VERY EXPENSIVE, find out what coverages apply--or not. You might also consider supplemental Travel Insurance.

For the rest, Bermuda is '..fertile..' place, so they have a great deal of expertise and experience with pregnancies and deliveries.

But ultimately....this is most definitely ***NOT***NOT***NOT*** a topic that is best researched and advised upon on an internet travel message forums. It's YOUR pregnancy and YOUR child....so put in the time, make the effort and discuss it with YOUR physician(s) ***DIRECTLY***. Anything less would be grossly iresponsible.

I have used the hospital and can confirm its very good (most of the staff trained in the UK and Canada when I was there )-but you should not travel if you are even the slightest bit worried about your or your new babys health
