We enjoyed Aruba in September, though it will be hot! Water is nice and warm, but definitely still refreshing.

September weather

Average high temperature 90 F.

Average low temperature 80 F.

Average temperature 84 F.

Average water temperature 83 F.

Average rainfall 1.40 inches (20.3 inches annual)

Average windspeed 15 mph

Divi vs. Tamarijn is personal preference. Kids stay free at the Tam, but in September don't know if that will be much of a factor.

Tamarijn does have the advantage of all oceanfront rooms. Step out of your room directly onto the beach and needless to say nothing to block the view :-)

All of it depends on what you really want for a room. No matter where you stay, you get use of both hotels, so price an location of rooms is your big decision.

We stayed at Divi which had a superior beach compared to Tamarjin. Water entry at Tam was a little tricky but nice and easy at Divi. It's nice because you can use both facilities. Did seem to be a bit more active at Tam and better shops. Can't really go wrong with either resort. Have fun!

I just got back from the Tam last night. Wonderful resort. I would personally do Tam just for the walk out beach access. And yes some places are little more difficult than others to get into the beach. I stayed in 1900 but would probably choose 1700 next time. 1900 beach was better but the view to the left was of the boat yard and the view to the left of 1700 was of the Bunker Bar which was pretty cool looking. The beach in front of 1700 was half rock and half clear the whole time I was there. We did go to both resorts for shopping and meals. The walk between the two is not that bad and a good way to help burn off some of those excess calories. Enjoy yourself!

We stayed at the Diva and the beach was excellent. Plenty of room, very sandy beach. Beach at Tam was more rocky. Our room was gardenside but only like 50 ft to the beach.

The low rise hotels have MUCH nicer beaches. Much more room. At the high rise hotels you are on top of each other and hard to even get a chair.

We stayed at the Diva and it has an excellent beach. The Tam is more rocky. Both are nice hotels. Stay by the low rise hotels if you want the nicer beaches. We noticed that at the high rise hotels the people were on top of each other. We heard people who stayed there had a hard time even getting a chair.

We had a gardenside room but we were only like 50 ft from the sandy beach.

If you have kids I would stay at Tam (free) plus it seems like there are more children there. Plus all the water sports stuff is right there. We like the Divi because of the beach. But you can go on any beach they are very close.

We get the ocean front at Divi a little more $ but its just steps to the beach. We will be leaving in 3 weeks cant wait!
