I stayed at Divi one year and loved it - food was ok, the beach awesome.
Haven’t been to either but we definitely preferred the low rise area (eagle-Manchebo beach) over the high rise area. (Palm beach) We like all inclusives , but in Aruba there are too many options and we definitely did better monetarily not doing all inclusive. Maybe give some more detail about your likes...for example are you “pool people” or beach people? We are staying at Manchebo beach for the 2nd time and love the beach and love the dining options all over the island. We went for dinner a few nights in palm beach area and were glad to go back to the low rise section for daytime relaxation.
We’re a couple in our 60’s and have stayed at the Divi many times over the years. We always loved it. A few trips back we switched to the Manchebo as we were looking for a quieter atmosphere. The Divi is very appealing to young families so that means lots of little ones running around. For us it was no longer a good fit.
We have not stayed at Barcelona as we prefer the low rise area but we do have friends that enjoy the Barcelo.
