First Timers

I could sit and read this forum all day, but we are leaving this Thursday. Staying at Portofino-very very excited as it is our 1st time to stay in Pensacola. I have a few questions.

Best seafood suggestions...We normally eat at Dewey Destins in Destin for lunch, and a little more upscale for dinner...Go!!!

Please give me helpful hints for those 1st timers staying at Portofino. I will have 2- 16 yr olds and 2- 14 year olds...boys.

Where is the closest grocery store from Portofino?

For grocery store you will have to drive into Gulf Breeze. There is a publix and Wal Mart. Best seafood restaurant, I'd suggest in downtown Pensacola at the Fish House. On the island, the best restaurant is Frank and Lola's or the Grand Marlin.

Seafood Restaurants on the beach, Crabs We got Em is nice for lunch, kid friendly. Also Casino Beach Bar and Grille(not a Casino), for upscale I would go with Grand Marlin or Hemingways. Also Peg Leg Pete's is a must do at least once while visiting Pcola Beach.

Flounders is good too. They have awesome Mahi mahi tacos. If you want to eat at your condo one night go to joe Pattis and have them cook your food for you and bring it back. We did that one night and it was awesome.
