Dining in Pensacola Beach

We will be there in October with in-laws. Any recommendations from the locals on best dining places? We all absolutely love seafood and looking for moderately priced places but not limited to just seafood. Also, after some research there are places that still allow smoking?! That's crazy to me but we are from Texas. :)

TIA! Never been to this part so we are looking forward to it. We are staying at the Emerald Isle.

No restaurants allow inside smoking in the state of Florida. Some restaurants might offer catch of the day.

I'm not a local but we have always enjoyed Peg Leg Pete's on our visits to Pensacola Beach.

Biscuitcreek, I see you all the time on the AR and MO forum! Glad to see you here, too.

I also recommend Peg Leg's. Fish House is great but it's not at the beach, you have to go into Pensacola (on the bay, lovely but pricey). I consider myself local-enough since we've vacationed on the panhandle for more than 40 years.

We'll be there in October, too! Great time of year to visit! Peg Leg Pete's is awesome! We also like Flounder's. Definitely McGuire's Irish Pub in Pensacola. The Fish House is good, too. If you're in a condo and can prepare your own seafood be sure to go to Joe Patty's. Best fresh seafood anywhere!!!

Emerald Isle is a great place to stay and in a good location. I like Casino Beach Bar and Grille, Peg Leg's, Flounders, and especially, the Grand Marlin. In Gulf Breeze I LOVE Aegean Breeze. It's been around forever and is so good. Also like La Brisa and The Fishing Hole, both in Gulf Breeze. If you plan to buy fish and cook yourself (or you want to take some home) definitely check out Joe Patti's.

Skip Flounders. They shut down for a day for Health Violations this summer. Im told it's still barely keeping code. Casino Beach Bar and Grill, Grand Marlin, or even try Frank and Lola's inside Margaritaville Hotel, or Crabs! We Got Em, but I would skip the seafood at Crabs and get a burger or their chicken sandwich. Most people go for the view there. Red Fish Blue Fish is iffy. Sometimes that place is good, sometimes the service sucks. It's a flip of the coin.

Thank you all! We leave in one week and are very excited. We definitely have The Grand Marlin on our list. My husband is quite an oyster lover and looks like they have Monday specials on oysters and ale. Definitely looking at Peg Leg Petes and our condo owner also suggested Joe Pattis to cook at condo.
