Vendors are on it. There are no private beaches on Antigua.

As Mark says, all Antigua's beaches are public - as they should be!!!

The vendors are in general lovely people, they're polite, and will take a 'no thank you' and don't really bother anyone. I'd highly recommend taking the time to chat to some of them though - it's not an easy way to make a living, especially now most resorts are AI and people bring less and less spending money, and many are really interesting and have some great stories to tell.

The only ones to really avoid are those offering drugs. You really don't want to be dealing with them, or the consequences - both the local lockup and jail are really not resorts you want to try out!

There are vendors on the beach. If you really want to avoid the vendors I'd suggest that you walk down to the further end of the beach (It's at least two miles so lots of room) where the vendors and general public are less frequent (or some times nonexistent)

A firm "no thank you" will most often do if they do approach you.

Beach vendors in Antigua are nothing to worry about. Be polite and give them the time of day but be clear if you don't want to buy. You will be seeing the same people a few times over the course of your holiday.
