We are visiting in March for a week with children. What's the best way to transfer from the airport to El Cotillo please?
We always hire a car at the airport. About £70 for the week and you have transport all through. Payless is good and inexpensive.
Thanks, was hoping to have a car free week though but it's an option. How busy are the roads?
Its a lovely drive from the airport to El Cotillo
Never really busy on the island apart from perhaps around the capital Puerto Rosario.
Use Cicar or Payless.es as Lucie suggested & as he'd agree avoid Internet comparison sites otherwise you could end up with Goldcar or Orlando! Book direct with above companies they come with all inclusive insurance and no excess charges.
& no rip off pre pay fuel charge.

Roads are very quiet. A decent road over to El cotillo and your sat nav will find it. The only potentially busy bit will be the motorway past the airport but not busy by UK standards and you are only on it for 5 mintutes.
Remember Taxis are tricky at El Cotillo. There is a taxi rank but rarely taxis on it. They have to be ordered in and depending on where you are staying you may have a bit of a walk to the best beaches.
Once you get there you can have a car free week if you want. Just park it. There are busses over to Cotillo but not direct.
Absolutely agree with bubbles.Edited: 07 August 2017, 14:59
Thanks all, will look into the car option then. 😀
We are planning a last minute stay in El C in 2 weeks time. Plane lands at 6 ish pm have read about we have to get a bus to Rosario, then up to Corr, then to El C. Anyone recently used a hoppa for 12 pounds or did you hire a car
IMHO car hire is the best option for you more so with your late arrival, I think that you will be too late for the bus and to my knowledge Hoppa do not offer a service to El Cotillo. On the positive side car hire is very affordable.
