I need to travel from south east London to Farnham in Surrey. I don't drive. In the past I have gone by train via Waterloo East and London Waterloo main. However, I am now in my eighties and walking has become very difficult. I can no longer manage the transition from Waterloo East to the main concourse at Waterloo main. It involves a steep ramp and then a long walk-through. I would be travelling alone. Does anybody have any suggestions, please?

Good luck, I can sympathise with the challenge you face, rail stations can be a problem when you're disabled. My wife helps me, but I'd find rail travel very difficult on my own.

All stations have special assistance for disabled/elderly passengers. Their details will be on their website. They are normally helpful, so give them a ring.

However, added to my mobility problems, I am also deaf so can't use a phone. It would be nice if there was a help email address but I can understand that it would probably get inundated.
