Adventures Abroad Travel Agency

We are looking at booking a Baltic tour through Adventures Abroad Travel Agency. We live in the US, and they are located in Richmond, VC, Canada. The tour is very reasonably priced, but I haven't been able to find any current reviews on this company (most reviews are several years old). Has anyone traveled with them?

Yes. I wouldn't touch them with a 10 foot pole. They wasted a lot of time and problems communicating with locals because they did not know the language. Just be careful.

Not true in our case. The tour leader was a nightmare and could not effectively communicate in Spanish. The number of flights taken for our South American trip were excessive and a return flight to Buenos Aires was unnecessary resulting in additional expense and hassle. So many things went wrong because of his incompetence. Even people he worked with yelled at him.. Anyway, be careful but you might get a tour leader that is helpful and justify the high price you pay for a small group tour. Good luck.

Hi, my wife and I are in our mid 70's. We are interested in hearing about your tour of Azerbaijan, Georgia and Armenia with the possibility of sighting Mt Ararat.

We are Australian living in Sydney. We would, of course and in theory, wish to make the whole booking, land content and air fares from Sydney and back through you. We hope to be able to travel in October, 2019 with payment made in late Setember 2019 as we are already booked for another overseas trip during August and September.

An Australian Agency, TripaDeal quotes AUD 4999pp for '25 Day Highlights Package'. You will see their deal on the internet, all inclusive except tipping and personal expenses.Main meals on most days are included in the price quoted

Please provide a quote, if you can beat this deal for 25 days with details on how to make payment!

Thank you,

Juanito,

You have posted this on an open forum and this mob will not read it. You will need to do two things:

1. Delete your post which contains your personal email address available for spammers to copy it; and

2. As your questions directly from Adventures Abroad, but read the posts from others and do further searches for reviews before doing so.

I've taken two trips with AA and am contemplating a third. It's true there's little to complain about on one of their adventures. However, that doesn't mean there aren't goofs and glitches along the way. But nothing significant enough to turn me away.

The do listen to feedback. On my last trip the majority of us were very unhappy with the overnight in Corfu. Inept local guide, dilapidated hotel, overrun with cruise ship visitors. A waste of time. There was enough negative feedback that Corfu has been removed from the Albania/Macedonia itinerary.

My one complaint is that if you don't use their air, they charge $75 one way to transfer you from airport to hotel. You can arrange a transfer for a lot less on your own.

The cost of the transfer varies depending how far it is from the hotel to the airport. Some have been $35. But I agree they do charge you if you don't book through them but you would have to book and pay for it anyway yourself.

well, I found some complaints on YELP, if that makes you feel any better ;-) https://www.yelp.com/biz/adventures-abroad-world-wide-travel-richmond. can anyone here speak to the complaints about the $250 credit card deposit and if they've ever had their trip cut short/cancelled b/c it's not guaranteed until enough folks have signed on? thinking of using them for a honeymoon trip to be planned well in advance, so having it be "iffy" is not really an option.

Cant find the link. However it is clear in their regulations that a trip is not guaranteed until a certain number of oeople are booked (usually 8) and in that case a deposit is returned or can be transferred to another trip. If one cancels on their own usually the deposit is lost th same as anywhere else.
