Many of you will have seen that the spambots have again hijacked this and likely a few other forums.

As a reminder, the best way to report these is to use the Help Center. Follow the link below and paste the URL of the spambot's profile into the Commenrs text box, together with a polite but firm "Spambot - please do the needful" type message.

BUT BE CAREFUL. If you click on the bot's link from the forum home page, you'll be directed to your own profile. Yup these hackers are clever. Do that and you could be reporting yourself as a spammer.

1) Click on the thread subject title to get to the thread.

2) Then click on the OP's profile.

3) Copy that URL and paste it into the Comments text pad at the above link.

This is extremely annoying. But be patient and hope that TA fixes this latest issue and that the mods on the graveyard shift watch out and zap these.

US Business, I reported this thread at 12:53 when the first trial post ( name of spammer) was posted. The flood began at 1:01. Multiple reports are meaningless unless TA does something. I wrote a suggestion on HUMTAB, that I'm sure will go no place 😟

Hi

I don't know why the computer can't detect unusual symbols and activity and suspend the offending account until it can be investigated, therefore stopping all posts from the spambot.

And note that the bot posts haven't (yet) been zapped. The bot just stopped posting.

Nope, they're still there. Look half way down the front page of the forum.

Yep, noticed that the last time there was an attack. What will it take for TA to sort out some very easy steps to avoid bots.

Sigh.
