PADI on my own

Hi there,

I need a few weeks holiday and would like to get my PADI, looks like it will be me on my own. Can anyone give me some good advice/recommendations for a PADI overseas.

Think I would like to go beyond europe, April (In like 2/3 weeks time), not really package, but am open minded. All tips gratefully received.

Travelling alone and going diving is not a problem, also the course will be easily sorted.

Did you consider Thailand?

another vote for the Far East/Asia? Thailand is bound to be a good option - but another one to throw into the pot is Borneo, Malaysia. We went snorkelling with divedownbelow in KK, Borneo. After that, I headed to Lankayan but it would be too expensive if going solo but divedownbelow might be able to help give you suggestions on where else to go once you are qualified to do a day or two more diving?

Sipadan is world famous but it may be hard to get a permit with short-notice but you never know.

Borneo has some amazing wildlife so if you have a sense of adventure (which most divers have!) you could also combine it with some jungle trekking/boat trips etc.
