Above the usual in a small town. This was a very pleasant lunch in a restarant that was not busy. We are familiar with most of Meaford"s restaurants and this is easily one of the best. The food was great, the service was too and...the price was in line with with the quality one should expect in a classy restaurant.More

The luncheon menu at Andrew's Roots is wonderfully varied. I chose the fish tacos - not only were they delicious, there was so much food I had to take some home! Yes, I've been there before - enjoyed the ambiance, the service and, of course,...the food!More

I drove 220 Km one-way to come to this restaurant --- a special treat was the intent --- and I now really regret it. Really upset, because we've been here 5 times previously and it was excellent. Arrived on time for our reservation. Ordered promptly....Took forever to get both appetizers --- one of which was missing two key ingredients. Interestingly enough, a replacement appetizer with all the ingredients appeared miraculously in minutes when I told the server of the error. Question: why did it take so long for the first one to arrive, when you found another almost immediately??? Mains took an achingly long time to arrive after the appetizer dishes were cleared away. Mains arrived --- mine was underdone, cold, and missing a key component, My companions was overdone to the point it was mushy and inedible. Server was a bit of a drama queen --- pouting about personally having to pay for our meals if we were not satisfied (nice guilt trip, huh). Promised to comp the visit. Could not / would not get a manager involved in resolving the time delay in service from the kitchen. In the end, they comped one main, 50% on the second, andI still paid for the rest. First time in my life, I did not leave a gratuity.More

A must try when you’re in town. Five of us went for dinner and were not disappointed! The mussels and french onion soup were great appetizers. The ribs were incredible and the lamb - you’ve GOT to try the lamb. The chicken supreme was just...ok, the only thing that was a miss was the pasta, which I really didn’t enjoy and even though I didn’t eat any of it our waitress didn’t seem to notice. Great spot, great atmosphere, awesome chef. There’s a reason these guys are busy!More

Made reservations for our first anniversary. Great food, the white fish and the squash/pumpkin soup was the best. I was surprised that we got a card all signed by the staff handed to us at end off the meal. The perfect touch! Thanks for a...great meal.More

We discovered this place Thanks to a local person. We got in after 3pm however they gave us a welcome with a big smile. The place is nice, well decorated you can see the attention to details. We order a vegetable soup and a caprese...sandwich. Both options were very tasty, well presented. Overall a place to discover and recommend.More

Started with the warm baked feta - was ok -nice to try but wouldn’t order again. My main was the house made fettuccini which I would have enjoyed if there wasn’t so much Parmesan on top which destroyed the taste of everything In the dish...as it was so salty so I scraped it off. My husband had the AAA 10oz grilled ribeye which he loved cooked to perfection ! Love it here, chilled atmosphere and amazing sevice well worth a visit !More
