Took my mom to the restaurant for lunch and we ordered the chicken burger and the classic cheeseburger. I was very impressed with the GM, James Alexander. We did have a wee wait for the meal BUT I do not mind the wait when the...food is exceptional, the burgers were hot and the french fries were so crispy and beautifully seasoned (not just salted). Seating is available on the porch of the restaurant or in the secondary seating area opposite the driveway. We are going to try the breakfast meal on our next trip.More

Came for lunch with my friend, we are both locals and enjoy trying new places in the area. This restaurant exceeded our expectations. Best burger I’ve had in years, and their chicken wrap was out of this world!!

Found this restaurant while in Meaford and went in to have a delicious dinner!! Southern fried chicken was very tender and flavourful, and veggies were well done. Server was friendly and attentive. Chicken and beef rib platter was huge with salad which was well dressed...and ribs were tender and very good!! Great atmosphere, highly recommend!! Will be backMore

We have eaten in twice and take out once. CONS: Wings both times were overcooked and neither of us liked the sauce. No kids menu Both times we ate in they really rush the bill. Our table hadn't been cleared and they are bringing the...bill. There were empty tables and no line to get in, so I don't understand what the hurry is. We still had half a drink left. They carry the garbage out through the restaurant from the kitchen, even asking my Father in law to hold the door open for them. On both occasions we ate in the kitchen staff smoke right out the back door for all to see. I only hope they wash their hands when they return to the kitchen. PROS: Wait staff is friendly enough and accommodating to make a larger table and get us a booster seat.More

Decided to try this spot after seeing their ads and looking at reviews on Trip Advisor. Went for dinner on Wednesday June 26th for their Wednesday all you can eat ribs special. Nice little spot and was not to busy.Great to have another good place...to go in Meaford. We always like to support local small businesses and I really hope this restaurant does well. Karla was our server and she did a great job explaining how they source all their food locally and everything is cooked fresh and not frozen. Service was great , atmosphere was nice, and beers are local craft beers. Both my wife and I had the ribs and we both had a fabulous meal. Ribs were tasty and very tender, The fries and slaw which accompanied the ribs were also delicious. All ready looking forward to my next visit for some great ribs.More

Ben and the staff here are friendly and eager to please. Although the menu my seem limited the fresh produce and locally sourced meats make any choice on the menu a good one.

I have been to The Red Door on Sunday evenings for their half-price wings. The wings are a good size and very tasty and flavourful. The restaurant is small but comfortable. Service is efficient and friendly. Great hometown restaurant,

A dinner with friends on a Friday night, not too busy, we were able to be seated straight away. We ordered the Meaford Home Style burger ($16.00) cooked medium, which comes dressed with sauteed mushrooms, smoked cheddar, a house-made tomato jam on a sourdough bun....Served with fries. Burger arrives, cooked a fair bit beyond medium and its a monster. There is no WAY you're getting this in your mouth without wearing the tomato jam from now until Sunday. Cut in half, still a challenge. My bun had spent a few minutes too long under the broiler as it had been overcooked, then scraped off. I tossed it aside and went in with a knife and fork. The jam is tasty which is more than I could say for the burger. Beef is nice, but nothing special. Fries were underwhelming. Disappointed. My wife had the deep fried southern chicken ($14.00), expecting fried chicken, on the bone, but were served more like chicken fingers or tenders. These too had run out the clock on the cook time. Disappointing. Our big surprise was the wine - a glass of Cab-Merlot that was, well, warm. Quite warm.Beyond room-temp warm in fact. When we asked, our server admitted the wine had been stored right beside the coffee burner. Oops. It was moved, we heard ice being put in a bucket, but who stores the wine next to the coffee? The Red Door has a lot going for it, a cute decor in a small town with limited mid-priced eats. Fast and friendly service, loads of potential. Sadly, they missed the mark the night we were there. Two mains, one glass of wine was $44.07 taxes in.More

Our first visit here, for dinner, and we were not disappointed. The decor is simple and quiet ( there is a TV but it was turned off (👍) and there was background music playing softly. It is nice to be able to have a conversation...with your tablemate without talking loudly. My Mister had the fresh trout special and I had a hamburger. The portion sizes were generous, the food hot and tasty and the service was attentive. A lovely restaurant with delicious food - we will return for sure.More
