The restaurant at the Grand Hotel Kempinski is worthy of the hotel itself. If you find yourselves at this lovely hotel you won’t want to dine anywhere else. The service is impeccable; the dishes were local and inspired. You will not find this level of...dining anywhere else in the vicinity. And for Americans, extremely affordable. Breakfast is in the same room and was most extensive and elegant.More
Kind staff, but service very chaotic, wine served 20mn later after the order, cold meals, or hot but frozen vegetables an fish. Beef and duck were ok, but foie gras scalop was untasty as well as creme brulee. Food was generally very salty.
Very expensive...for the quality and the service. Being french, I m disappointed about such a cost for finally a quite standard restaurant....More
We ordered the daily special soup, the sea bass, and salad. The soup was a carrot soup that tasted a bit like from a babyfood jar. The fish wasn’t cooked very well and was accompanied by a not so tasty corn purée, topped by two...pieces of what looked and tasted like canned baby corn. The rolls looked nice but were dry and not tasty. The salad was ok, as was their special High Tatra dessert, which is supposed to look like the Tatra forest after a major disastrous storm.
The service was very nice, except that we were offered only one type of wine - the white wine made especially for Kempinsky. It wasn’t particularly special
The magnificent dining room and the high prices would lead one to expect a fine dining experience instead of the substandard meal which we were served.More
We had dinner in this hotel while we were there for a two day holiday. There are not many restaurants in the city and this restaurant is the best one in the city. They serve authentic local dishes. My wife and I ordered two local...dishes. I ordered a wild boar dish and my wife ordered piroque dish. Both were very tasty. The service was excellent. They serve food and drinks truly in a five star fashion creating a romantic set up. We were very impressed by the quality of the food. It is quite an experience to dine in this hotel.More
Our party of 4 all ordered different items and thoroughly enjoyed every bite. They even prepared something not on the menu for my husband which he loved.
The pierogis were just delicious, and the crepe Suzette's prepared tableside were exquisite!
We really enjoyed our dining...experience at this fine restaurant.More
