The restaurant is close to the Tomine lake. You will find it in your way to the town of Guatavita. The view of the lake is beautiful. The food is very simple. It is expensive. The restaurant is owned by a German woman. She is...friendly. Her team does not know how to cook.More

What a wonderful place. We sat outdoors and had an amazing fire of the lake. The fish was excellent as was the canalaso. It was a terrific famoly atmosphere and picturesque setting. The food was delicious and service was exceptional.

The restaurant is located close to the Embalse Tomine (NOT the famous laguna of Guatavita). The food was very good quality and the service prompt and friendly We will definitely return if we go back to the area.

As the location is really beautiful, we decided to stop for an extended lunch break. Being a group of more than 10 people, we ordered quite a wide range of meals. They all turned out to be mediocre at best. In particular the meat dishes...were quite bad. We had to wait 40 minutes for the food and the drinks we had ordered arrived only ten minutes after the food arrived at our table. Guests at the table next to us actually left as they were not attended at all. In addition, some of the ordered drinks never ever made it to our table. Given the usually good food you can obtain in similar places in Colombia, this was quite a negative experience and we would not recommend this restaurant.More

Los Pinos is a well run family oriented country-side restaurant. It has an inviting atmosphere and great service. The menu offers a variety of options for every taste which makes it difficult to choose like empanadas, pan de yuca, churrasco, uniquely seasoned trout, "codillo de...cerdo" and many more. I decided to try a little of all meats and had a "picada". Good portions, well served. You can have national or imported beer, natural fresh juice or sodas and delicious deserts. I recommend the house desert. All this in an outdoor seating with nice music and the most breathtaking view.More

This wonderful little family-run restaurant is situated in a beautiful location, overlooking the Guatavita lake. The menu features a mix of Colombian food with international influences. The staff were very accomodating and made me a delicious vegetarian meal of ajiaco, a kind of soup served...with corn and avocado, which is the best thing I have eaten in Colombia so far. The pandeyucas are a must and the house dessert, merengue with guayaba cream, is delicious. The owners, Nacho and Daisy, are very friendly. It is well worth having a chat with them-they give great recommendations about what to do in the area. I highly recommend this restaurant for a genuine Colombian experience.More

What a wonderfully warm family run restaurant. The outdoor setting is spectacular with views over the lake. The service is great and the staff are all friendly and fun. The kitchen is open, which is great to see the chefs in action! The food was...fantastic - I went back the next day for more. Great drinks, soups, breads, deserts, meat, fish and vegetarian options too. The pandayucas were the best I've ever had! The owner Daisy is so hospitable and accomodating. Los pinos is a little gem of a restaurant!More

I am from England. Things are very expensive in England. When i come to Colombia i expect the price of food to be relatively reasonable in comparison. Sadly, this restaurant, whilst offering a fanstastic view, exploits that to the maxiumum with over priced and tasteless...food. We ordered a starter of potatoes and that amounted to a pathetic serving. I was truly gobsmacked. I expected more and it didnt deliver. The service was dreadful. I wouldnt return and im disappointed.More

After reading the comments in tripadvisor we came up with high expectations. The quality of the food we had is far away from the descriptions given by other visitors in tripadvisor. We had the "chorizos" (normal) and the "carne a la parrilla 150g" (ok) as...starters. Then we ordered grilled trouts, one papillon trout (grilled with moustard souce), and one simple grilled trout. I must say that although in my opinion the trout itself is not a gourmet fish, it is difficult to find a more tasteless one as the ones we had here. Poor. Afterwards, we ordered a "postre de la casa". It is tasty and original for foreigners, but it is not in my top 30 of the best desserts I´ve ever tasted. Average. The service, with the exception of the lady who looked like the owner and the guy who looked like the son of the owner, is poor in general terms. The starter was served but not plates and drinks were in the table yet. The second dish was served before we were done with the starters, and the waitress put the dish aside on other table till we were done with the starter (about 15 mins). The outdoor sitting is nice. The views are spectacular by lake Tominé. The best point of the restaurant, the location. A nice place to have just a beer and enjoy the view.More

I should first thank the entire Romero family for taking care of my friends and I. We first arrived and Daisy, the owner introduced herself and sat us at the table, already giving a family and welcoming atmosphere. Our server, Paola whats just adorable and...always went the extra mile to accommodate us. We started with good Colombian beer, although they also have international beers and with some authentic Colombian appetizers. Main dishes were very fresh, innovated and with the authentic flavor of natural grill. If you are having desert, please have the house desert.... uffff just PERFECT! and end everything with an unique colombian coffee. Prices are reasonable and worth every penny. I will post pictures soon, however, the view is priceless! beautiful lake surrounded by green and fun atmosphere. Thank you very much for everything. We hope to be back soon!More

The restaurant is in a lovely garden by the lakeside, with sweeping views across the water and surrounding hills. Service was excellent and the food was tasty and well prepared. Its linked to the Bogota beer company so there's a range of good beer. All...in all a peaceful setting in which to relax and enjoy the views.More
