This is our local Japanese that we go to for a quick and cheap meal and I've developed a bit of a weakness for the chicken kaarage which is a bit like Japanese KFC. Always enjoy the food here and very convenient to us.

First time here and average looking restaurant in centrally situated Subiaco restaurant hub. The food was not expensive and tasted fine. It took a little longer than expected even though there was only another family, but I noticed they had a takeaway order for another patron anxiously waiting outside. I had the teriyaki chicken salad dinner which was adequate.

We had been to this place a few times before and it was quite good but they must have had a change of management in the last six months because the difference was noticeable. Firstly the service was cranky - I got told off for not being specific enough in the wording of my order. Secondly (and more importantly) the... More

Another little joint Mr K introduced me to. To be honest, I prefer to go on a solo mission here because Mr K tends to rush me, which destroys the dining experience completely. Food is always delicious and the staff are just so lovely and efficient. I must admit, I was wrong about Subiaco. In the past I had thought... More

This is a great little Japanese café. Small and very popular at lunch time. Strongly recommended! Service can be a little slow but staff are friendly.

This is a take away plus a little restaurant - not a place where you would take a dinnerr date but very much in line with many small eateries in Asia, clean, nicely spaced tables, Japanese pictures on the wall, not tacky. Good selection of food and well priced. Most dishes are freshly prepared (one can see into the kitchen).... More

Look, this review is absolutely solid because believe it or not I visited it twice !! The reason being it was convenient and I didn't think it could be bad a second time True one of the visits was for a take away. I found the food bland and uninteresting on both occasions but the attitude was awful Particularly the... More

Great Japanese food in the middle of Subie. We were in town for just a week and visited twice, so we'd definitely recommend it.

I wouldn't put this as a dinner venue really, but it provides excellent value, quality lunches with fresh and delicious ingredients. I like trying Karaage in as many places as I can and I'm currently ranking this 2nd in the Western Suburbs behind Kiri in Shenton Park. And much cheaper - a steal at $8.90 as a donburi.
