We went here for dinner following all the good ratings. Unfortunately we cannot share the experience. Yes, the food is really good and if you don't mind paying twice as much for the same dish you can get elsewhere then your are fine. Not to...forget that you need to prepared for longer waiting times because there is just the owner herself and the cook running the whole restaurant. Anyone has different expectations. We left disappointed. To our opinion the place is overhyped and overrated because price-/performance ratio does not match.More

Decor is fun, but drinks expensive, some meals overpriced and bland - 1 truffle starter had no truffle flavour at all, but a main course did... total mystery. Ordered a beer which turned out to be 14euros once we got the bill. Service takes forever...because only 1 lady does it - she was clearly displeased when we weren't as impressed as she thought we should be. Could be lovely with some amendments but was a bit stressful.More

This restaurant was one of the best I have ever been in my life. The place feels like home with very interesting decor (you have to see for yourself), amazing food and a brilliant owner with a great sense of humor. We have found this Hostaria by chance and the interior, the decoration, the hospitality of the lady and last but not least the cousine: superb. The wine selection is very wide and broad quality. The menu, rich of truffle and meat proposals with also fresh...pasta. Very tasty and well cooked. I believe our best experience in a restorant. What a lovely night we had at this restaurant! We called the same day to make a reservation for 6 people and when we arrived they had prepared a special area where we could put our trolly with a sleeping baby, highly appriciated. We shared...two appertifes, they made it big enough to share for 6 people. We said we would order pasta as maincourse. She recommended us to order six different plates of pasta, and then share all of them! What a wonderful idea! Everything tasted like magic!! For example, pasta with hazelnutsause, fantastic!! The wine was served in the biggest glasses we’d ever seen, to ultimate the taste, the waitress explaned. The atmosphere at the restaurant was perfect, the service was excellent and food and wine was MAGIC!!More

We spent a week on Lake Garda and visited this amazing place on the night we arrived. We then dined there another 2 times for dinner and had our final lunch there too and the food was wonderful every time. It’s a quirky place with...a wonderful hostess in Sabine and of course the chef! The service can be slow to maintain the quality so if you are in a hurry you need to say so but the pace was perfect for us and allowed us to enjoy the wine and ambience and rest between courses! Excellent wine selection too - we will be back!!More
