We went with friends who have eaten here many times, we were warned about the bad service and shocking decor. It was true but the food made it worth the experience. Five of us walked in on a Saturday night without a booking, no problem! My friends ordered for us, every item was sensational, the dips, fried cheese, salads and hot... More

Alasya Turkish Restaurant has provided consistently for many years. The serves are generous and the food is consistent and reliable. On this latest visit the menus had been re-printed and I feared change was upon us - but relief, the menu has been kept intact and the food was as reliable as ever.

The dips are as good as they have always been and the bread warm and light. We also tried the shallow-fried eggplant (and ordered a second helping) and the artichoke dolma-fantastic.

10 years ago, I'd come here almost every week. Last week I attended for the first time in a couple of years and it's clear how this place has been left in the dark from all aspects. Unfortunately, what used to be real family service and top quality Turkish food has turned into a stale restaurant. Staff are very robotic,... More

Disappointed with my takeaway experience from this place tonight! I ordered my take away, was told 10min wait.... 25 mins later, a number customers that arrived and ordered after me received their orders before me? ¿ Unorganised, rude staff arguing amongst each other is never a good look. This used to be the best place for kebabs in Melbourne. I... More

Had overseas guests who wanted Turkish food. I thought Alasya was good. It was terrible and I'm usually pretty forgiving. The food looked unappealing and tasted bland, just like their decor. The only good thing we ordered was their bread. The chilli dip and babaganoush were bland. The water wasn't cold. The food look reheated and not fresh. I can... More

The food here is sooooo good! We ordered 2 types of dip, 2 versions of the dolma and a mixed grill to share among 3. Could not find anything wrong with all the dishes! Everything was so tasty and delicious! The best part, the price is really reasonable. P/s: If you want to have some alcohol with your meal, it's... More

We went here because we were looking for halal food. On the outside, it looked kinda old. Coming in kind of confirmed it. This place is huge, but so empty. So we thought there had to be something wrong about this place to have it so empty. Maybe we were early who knows. We ordered a mix plate and lamb... More
