I love Meson Cervantes and the traditional food they serve here. Staff is friendly and very professional and COVID aware.

We went to this restaurant out of season so it was rather lacking in atmosphere as there were only 2 other tables in use. However the food was amazing. Stuffed Pimientos and Aubergine with Honey were tasty starters. We both had Grouper for mains which...were excellent. Delicious homemade Tarta de Turron completed our meal.More
Nice atmosphere and friendly service. Food was tasty but not very exciting. Medium pricing for menu del dia so in that respect not bad. Would visit again.
We didn't know it was Father's Day in Spain so we arrived to a packed restaurant on Monday afternoon. Every table was occupied & there was a great buzz about the place. We were invited to wait for a table & one became available without...undue delay. Our waitress, Eva, took us to our table & she was warm & friendly while doing so. She also spoke good English which helped significantly with our menu selections & other matters. Our food & drinks arrived within a reasonable time eventhough the place was very busy. Our food was cooked to perfection & served with aplomb by the lovely Eva. This was our first time dining at Cervantes but it will not be our last. The prices are reasonable & we will look forward to returning to sample some more of the extensive menu. We will also recommend this place to our friends.More
Lovely lunch for 15€. Plenty to eat and very friendly staff. Traditional Spanish cuisine. Well worth a visit.
We liked this restaurant because it was quiet at 8.00. The first night there were 4 adults and 1 child and we liked the food so much that we booked the suckling pig for a few nights later when there were 7 of us. Luckily...all big eaters. It was a great night. We had the henriqe Mendoza chardonnay and cab sauvignon wines which were very good and I recommend you try the px Pedro ximenex dessert wine to finish. A very good experience.More
On our first visit we had the Menu Diario. This included 3 starters: an excellent cold meat dish, a salad & calamares, followed by a main course of pork. Also included were deserts and a drink. All very good value at €12 per person. We...enjoyed this so much that we returned later in the week and ordered from the full menu. Starters were grilled vegetables and aubergine, followed by bass and lamb shank - all very good indeed. This is a family run business, which gives the place a lovely ambience and we felt really welcome. Highly recommended for a traditional style meal.More
Flying out from Alicante , Stayed the night in Al Eltet but could not find a Restuarant serving a Gluten Free meal. Went to Santa Pola (8km) and found this place, Was a bit worried as it was empty (8.30 in evening) but took a...chance as menu was one which could be gluten free. I was not wrong , the food was excellent and service very attentive and very reasonable considering the quality and presentation. Had Habitas (Mini broad beans )with ibérico ham to start and medallions of solomillo de credo ( pork fillet) for main both mouthwatering . Pork was beautifully tender.Any time I am in this area again I will go back. I think the reason it was empty was it was too early for the Spanish customers to eat I suspect if I went back around 10.00pm it would be very busy.More
A trip to Santa Pola is not complete with a visit to Meson Cervantes. Excellent food the habitas baby and the queso in honey are delicious - we pre ordered the suckling pig which was divine was washed down with excessive amounts of fruity dry...vino blanco- still room for pudding, this place prides itself on its home made desserts- a good thing in Spain and the turron ice cream is worth every spoonful. All 4 diners enjoyed the fabulous service which we always get at this fine family run establishment. The suckling pig was an extravagance but value for the quality.More
I was looking for somewhere Spanish to enjoy a family evening meal. Somewhere without too much embellishment. I was after a decent paella. The children would have what they liked. Now let's be honest. An empty restaurant is never a good sign. But the one...round the corner smelt like an open air toilet, but was heaving. So I let this rule of thumb slide. I allowed trip advisor to guide my hand here. Wish I hadn't. Being honest he service was good and reasonably attentive. They served the children first which I feel it is how it should be. The large flat screen TV pumping out the Spanish equivalent of Britain's got talent did irk me somewhat. But such is life. Now the food. Well. It's was ok. I've had better paella. The kids had food that was ok and my eldest fish was really very nice. The bill was not too hefty either But....... Now I'm no cook. Actually I'm a terrible cook. I can follow a recipe and sometimes it's ok. I can do a decent chilli, spaghetti and soup from scratch. And my pasties I feel are fantastic. But really. I hate cooking. I felt however there was nothing here that I couldn't cook and my mum or any other person of my mums generation could easily surpass this cook. So all in all it was naff. But otherwise for the money it was ok for what we paid. I won't return and I'm sure there are much better in the town.More
Found this place on Trip-advisor and went with the family for a late lunch . We should have taken the sign of a completely empty restaurant as a bad sign , but excused with late lunchtime . We had the menu of the day ....Starters were to be kind - acceptable , though the bread had been fresh some days ago. Service less than average . Maincourse ( fried fish ) came without any accompanying vegetables or rice/potatoes . All together a vaste of time and money .More
New in town and looking for an authentic Spanish restaurant I checked trip advisor and this one seemed to fit the bill, we were not disappointed, dad in the kitchen, mum on the till and daughter who spoke perfect English waiting tables. Great and fresh...locally caught fish is the speciality here we had sizzling prawns in a garlic and mushroom sauce, fried aubergines in honey and scrambled eggs with oysters mushrooms and ham, all delicious! Paella for the boys and a sirloin steak for our lady with peppercorn sauce beautifully presented and perfectly cooked, this really is a treat and puddings are all homemade too, a bottle of good Rioja and coffee generated a bill of under 30 euros a head! Stunning value for this standard of cooking, thoroughly recommendedMore
Very good food, family tried the paella, lamb, calamare and steak. Service ok, good food, price performance. Nothing fancy.
This is a family run restaurant that never fails to deliver good quality well cooked food, for a reasonable price. It is not nouvelle cuisine, nor fusion, what it is, is Spanish food at its best. I have eaten here many times, and the quality...is consistent, be it high season, or a cold miserable night in February, Go to the Meson Cervantes, enjoy the food and wine, and let the hospitality wash over you All of the food is good, believe me I have tried most of it, if I was to nominate a favourite, it would have to be the slow cooked shoulder of lamb, or should it be the grilled sea bass, or the............... you'll have to make your own choice.More
Meson Cervantes is a lovely Spanish restaurant. The menu del dia was good quality and well presented. Compared to other Menu del Dias, you get a very small glass of wine and no shared salad for starters.
