we should have listened to our noses, the place does smell slightly odd but it had plenty of local Chinese eating here so we gave it a go. The menu was fun and a weird kind of bug feast kind of way but my dish...More

Good meals in a great variety, lot of staff around, meals served quickly, value for money is ok. Hot pot is worth trying and yes, spicy in this restaurant is really spicy!

Despite having mixed reviews I really enjoyed my dinner at Dainty Sichuan. The restaurant was busy on both floors, however the service was prompt and efficient. The selection of food was fantastic & the photo's in the menu helped me select what I wanted to...More

We went a sa family of 5 - yo need to book. The 2 chilli rating was probably our 3 chili rating, but the food was fantastic. Everyone loved the beans especially and the waiter's suggestions were spot on. We have also been to the...More

At first I didn't know what to make of this place. When I went in... I actually felt like I was in Asia. I think I was the only white person in there. I also hadn't really experienced Sichuan food before... although had heard that...More

Melbourne boasts of a chain of Dainty Chinese restaurants. We had spicy lamb on skewers, beans called ants on a tree, steamed fish which comes in a huge basin like dish, eggplant in a spicy batter among several other dishes.

A quick lesson on one of the great cuisines of the world, Chinese. Firstly, the food is very regional so across this vast country with its ancient traditions and huge population the local fare changes significantly from place to place. What we often think of...More

I agree with the answer above! The restaurant would definitely welcome kids, but all the food has at least some kind of spice so it depends how old they are and how adventurous with their food.
