This spot was definitely worth the hike. I came on a Monday at 1230 and the place was empty. I was able to sit in the balcony with a view of Taromina and a plaza. What is funny is that there is a church not even 50 yards away😂 I had lasagne which I SCARFED down after the hike and... More

I don't think you should go there with young children unless you want a crash course in where babies come from when they visit the facilities. We were a mixed group of 8 adults who do not consider ourselves straightlaced normally! Certainly never seen anything like that before!

At the end of a long steep climb up the path to Castelmola, it was a treat to find this restaurant in an atmospheric square at the heart of the town. The food was fresh and delicious, the wine was refreshing, the sun was shining, the service was prompt and friendly, and the owner was clearly passionate about his restaurant... More

Hahaha, we were attracted by sheer curiosity, after reading about this bar on the Lonely Planet book. They left a taste of mistery, saying we would have learnt the meaning of local vocable "minchia". We did it, indeed!! Don't bring young children, if you don't want to shock them! Strongly suggest to travel to Castelmola with a local bus... Better... More

The location of this bar is right next to a piazza with excellent views of the surrounding countryside and beaches. On the inside, watch your step or you might get poked in the eye by one of those over sized Willies. Willies and dicks are all over the place and that's about the only thing this bar gas going for... We entered during heavy rainfall and were surprised by the theme an interior of the bar - pizzeria. We had beer and pizza's and the environment was bringing good fun to our group. The pizzas have to stay a bit longer in the oven, please mention this if you order one. Bar Turrisi, a place you will find no where... More

To say the least this is a interesting place to visit for a nice lunch, the food is good and the house wine is good. The ambiance is really on the unusual side but well done. Castel Mola is worth the visit.

We found this place just by chance- wandering around Castelmola- worth a visit entirely and wanted lunch and a drink and some lunch. Thought this looked good with great views and location in the tiny square. The view from the top floor is eye popping! We were not disappointed and entirely amused for the whole hour or so we were... There are Willies everywhere you look. You'd have to see it to believe it. We sat on the top floor overlooking the piazza, Church, and the bay. Food was really nice, service was excellent. Nicest lunch out I've had in a very long time. We walked up from just above Gardini Naxos. Took about two hours zig-zagging up a mule... More

The bar Turrisi is a place of worship located in Castelmola. Founded in 1947 at the hands of the rider Salvatore Turrisi, was born as an inn for foreigners where they were sipping tasty almond wine made with white grapes and infusion of bitter almonds. Structure after the war that has turned into a hotel, here you can enjoy over the almond wine, pizzas, pasta dishes ices and ice cream. Also extends over four elevations with views of the Duomo of Castelmola Gulf of Giardini Naxos and Mount Etna. He became famous for his sculptures representing the phallic worship and the very free social custom that made Taormina a cultural reference for many artists and not. Many magazines show us how one of the attractions of Sicily, but we like to think that convey a thought of being Sicilian and freedom of expression, in a structure difficult to manage since the 4 levels. Who does not know how to interpret these places far from wanting to be rude, and does not know or does not have the respect of all that, the place to find elsewhere.
