I cannot overstate how good this restaurant is. They are clearly passionate about their food, which is locally sourced, traditional Tuscan fare. We ate so well, we had to turn down the dessert - and they looked disappointed they didn't get to show that off too!! I'd wholly recommend visiting if you're passing. In fact, I think they have a... This little place looks like nothing from the outside - or the inside for that matter! The tablecloths are sunshine yellow, long velvet curtains hang at the window and everything is very basic BUT it's where the locals eat and that's always a good sign. The menu changes daily and is read to you at the table. Our mouths truly... More

We've been to Chenno's three times during two visits to Subbiano - food really delicious, service excellent, prices reasonable and the friendliest welcome you could wish for.

We've been at Chenno's on a Friday for lunch. We had a fish menu with spaghetti ai frutti di mare, fritta mista and filetto persico. The food was great and fresh and we enjoyed a wonderfull meal! The wine was tasteful and the service was also great. We will come back for sure!

Went recently as part of a group of 8. Four ordered the Milanese (breaded cutlet), two thought it was good, two thought it was tough and/or had too much breading. We also had mixed reviews on the pasta, some thought very good, others thought just OK compared to other meals we had had recently. Prices were good and service was... More
