Food, ambience and service were exceptional.
If you're in the area and want to eat a variety of great food in a warm and welcoming atmosphere, I highly recommend to visit Kotaravintola Sarakka.
Most overwhelming were all the extra steps the staff made to ensure that I wouldn't have to compromise with either taste or selection. Even though my range of allergies usually force me to compromise heavily. I never experienced a service like this before.

Nautimme avomieheni kanssa herkullisen ja monipuolisen kattauksen Lapin ruokia, valikoima monipuolisen lajitelman mm karhua, metsoa ja siikaa ja metsäsieniä. Ruoka oli erittäin hyvin laitettua ja maut kohdallaan. Kodassa tunnelma oli lämmin ja palvelu oli erinomaista. Kaikesta näki miten sydämellä työtä tehdään.

Me and my boyfriend enjoyed a delicious and vast variety of local foods from Lapland. The setting included for instance bear, western capercaillie (respectec lical wild bird), local white fish and wild mushrooms. The food was well prepared and falvors were great. The atmosphere was warm and nice with real fire and excellent service. You could see from everything much the owners put their heart into everything they do.

A great standing table, extremely nice service and a good atmosphere. A wide and high-quality selection of different dishes on the starter, main and dessert tables. The standing table as a concept had gotten the best out of it at this dinner, as I've experienced it before, mostly at some brunch - there's nothing like this anywhere else! Big recommendation.

my boyfriend, a friend of mine from switzerland and me were enjoying in kotaravintola sarakka the buffet.
it was the best food what i've ever ate in area Ylläs.
quality, quantity, and selection is great!
the kota is absolutely cosy and the owners/service is fast and realy friendly.
