This used to be a good restaurant but food has degraded year by year.Now dishes were blant. Now we have to search a new restaurant in the area

Exellent starters with local twist, I tasted reindeer and salmon. Main couse was delicious pike pearch with mushroom sauce and potatoes. Nice athmosphere and friendly service.

We had a truly wonderful experience at this beautifully atmospheric restaurant. The menu was very varied with many lovely Finnish dishes to try, such as reindeer, Arctic char and pike perch. The Lappish cheese dessert was particularly good. The friendly waiter was superb - he...had an excellent knowledge of the wine list and his recommendations were well worth following.More

I went on a lovely walk with my son and came across this one inviting looking restaurant. We were about to enquire about making a reservation for the following evening but as soon as we opened the door we where greeted by a waiter with...a ponytail who we assumed was coming to welcome and greet us but no, he shut the door and said it was winter outside and walked off. He was extremely rude. Needless to say we will not be eating there now and we hope the restaurant owners know how welcoming their staff are.More

I just dined at this place. I ordered the €26 sautéed reindeer Rouhe dish; but was surprised when the bill has an €39 item. The waiter insisted I ordered grilled reindeer, which I didn’t. I clearly pointed to the sautéed item, which carries the name...of the house as like a “house special”. It is very disappointing to receive such dishonest service from Finland.More

Restaurant is just outside Äkäslompolo village center but there is plenty of parking spaces available. Staff was really helpful despite covid restrictions was at hardest. Food (Sautéed Reindeer) was good, but not the best i tasted in Laplands restaurants so far. Restaurant it self quite...welcoming with average pricerange for the area.More

Beautiful restaurant inside - we loved the food so much we ate here 3 times; reindeer pasta, huge pizzas, delicious brushettas (chicken and pulled pork). Great menu for kids. Loads of parking outside. What a great find! Thank you

We loved the food so much we ate here 3 times. I had my first Reindeer meal which I was unsure about but it was truly delicious. It was served in a creamy pasta sauce, I had this twice. The other time I had the...chicken bruschetta which was very good. I helped the children out with their a’s which were fantastic. Thank you for making our visits so wonderful.More

Always open. A long menu to choose from. Lot of classics, pizza, local food … everything. Big portions. No fancy wine list. Good service.

Nice pizzas, ok surroundings. Good points for service, which was well above average - lots of knowledge and good understanding of what clients wanted.

We had such a lovely evening at Rouhe. Our whole family had fantastic food; snails as an appetizer, 2 different reindeer meals and zander (kuha) as main and tasty Irish coffees and oven ice cream as a dessert. On top of everything else the service...was outstanding! Our server Käpsy was very knowledgeable and kind. Could highly recommend this place if you are visiting Äkäslompolo!More
