We visited The Lobster Bowl Restaurant already two times, for lunch and for dinner. The Lobster Bowl Restaurant is not only a great place to eat seafood and enjoying oceanviews. It'is also an art gallery and the legacy of Joe James, a well-known artist in...Jamaica. He died in 2018 and his widow and his son Michael still own and operate the restaurant. All seafood dishes are really delicious and come with a selection of sides. So no one will leave the Lobster Bowl Restaurant hungry. The service is very attentive and we had a very good time there with our jamaican friends. They loved the food and the ambiance as well. Thank you to the Lobster Bowl Team!More

You know the place I am talking about. Off the beaten path. No shiny exterior. No gleaming neon lights. But the dining experience that most would die for! My wife and I went on a Friday night at 7PM. Had the entire restaurant to ourselves....When I asked why, was told that since the new highway was put in, the don't get the traffic that they used to get. Fine by me! Dinner was proceeded with pumpkin soup and fresh rolls. Soup was savory, and had a really good stick-to-your-ribs warming feel to it. And Ms. James baked those rolls from the heart. I had the curried lobster. Cooked to perfection and buttery soft. Seasoning was on point as well. Add in the gallery and the serenade by Alfred, with a heaping helping of salt air and waves lapping at you table side, and the whole experience will leave you perplexed. Should I tell everyone about this diamond in the rough; or should I keep this treasure to myself!More

Five of us visited the Lobster Bowl for my birthday and it exceeded all expectations. We can be a fussy bunch but it was all praises for the gallery, scenery, atmosphere, the food, especially the lobster and the service. Well worth a visit.

We drove up from St Elizabeth on the south coast to attend a farmer’s market in St Ann. We took a scenic detour over to Rio Bueno, Trelawny to try The Lobster Bowl Restaurant. Being Jamaican, we expect good seafood from a waterfront restaurant. Our...visit there was so much more than just a delicious meal. We were graciously greeted by Michael, who showed us around his multi-faceted, family-owned business that includes the restaurant, a bar, an art gallery, a conference center and a 21 room hotel. Ask to be served by Mary, a hospitality phenom. We enjoyed pepper pot soup, chowder, warm rolls, fresh salad and grilled fish. Putting this on the ReVisit List.More

This restaurant is a hidden gem in Rio Bueno! From the moment we arrived, we were treated like family. The curry and lobster were fantastic along with the sides. We met the sons of the late artist and owner, Joe James, who's artwork adorns the...gallery and is show all around the world. A must see when you are in Jamaica! 🇯🇲More

The lobster was perfectly cooked and the ambiance is amazing. 2 Adults, 1 teen and 1 child for dinner. Prior to main meal you receive soup and baked fresh hot bread that tasted so good. Ample amount of food with side dishes being served family...style. Highly advise sitting outside to enjoy the view and the fresh breeze off the bay.More
