Lovely location, imaculately clean, outstanding service and all for what would be a cheap/medium eatery price in teh UK.

This place was a gem, very quiet and friendly island. The resort was very small but the level of service was one of the best I have seen in Indonesia. The staff were amazing and the food was 2nd to none. Can't wait to go...back.More

Ate at Kokomo a couple of times while we stayed at villa selalu- would highly recommend it. Food is amazing and the staff so friendly - great atmosphere with the tables set on the beach, or a private table for 2 at the end of...a long jetty! Perfect for a romantic evening.More

Disclaimer - we didn't stay at the resort, but one of the lovely 2 bed 'bukit pool suites' just around the corner, which are run by the same thoughtful owners. So this review relates to the restaurant :) And what can I say really. I...don't think there are words to describe how much I love this restaurant. I own an organic food business. I know food. I love food. I also am a pretty hard task master when it comes to service. I cannot fault Kokomo. The staff is unbelievable. Whatever you want them to be, they will be. Simple serve and go - that's what they'll do; hang around for a friendly chat and some banter - you got it; a bit of both - no problem; want something served on the side, cooked differntly, or a dish not on the menu? - they'll do their best to accommodate. We wandered down on our first day for a long snorkel in front of the restaurant (really great considering how well used it has been by local fishing boats) and the wait staff brought us all a chilled glass of water, just because they recognised us, although we were not staying at the resort. But I've neglected the best bit - the food! Holy smokes, the food (and drinks!) is off the chart. Every single thing we ate was outstanding. Quite a lot of the greens come from the kitchen's large garden, and the rest of the produce is first class. We (a family of 4 with 2 teens) were there for Christmas and we felt very spoilt and lucky.More

Pros: 1-Beautiful, large, private one bedroom villa with all amenities provided. The home made chocolate were delicious. Very large, comfortable bed, beautiful outdoor setting with clean plunge pool and comfortable sun loungers, great living room with TV and DVD player. The details that the owners...thought of were impressive. For instance, you get two seating areas on each side of the bed, one with an additional sink outside of the bathroom for more convenience. There are two small closets on each side as well. There is a TV with a DVD player inside the bedroom - although we never used it - besides the one in the living room. There is a big, complimentary water dispenser in the kitchen, and that’s an excellent addition to make hot drinks (great coffee brewer too) and rehydrate all day long! I particularly love the Frangipani trees and their wonderful smell, my favorites, everywhere especially inside the villa! Among the small thoughtful touches the hotel does is offer you water glasses every time you are outside or return from an activity even swimming or snorkeling ☺️ 2-Good tennis court, hard to find in and around Bali. 3-Clean and well-kept hotel grounds. 4-Excellent food, especially the heavenly chocolate lava cake! I can safely say that we didn’t have a single meal we didn’t enjoy very much 😌 5-Friendliest professional and helpful staff, a big thank you to Sandy, Syatibi, Habibi and all the other great people we met there. Truly they’re some of the best hotel staff we’ve met and they all do a great job welcoming you and making you feel at home. 6-Clean beach and beautiful water, healthy colorful corals for offshore snorkeling to check out. 7-Great place for peace & quiet - relaxation at its best. Cons: 1-We were hoping for better offshore snorkeling as there wasn’t much to see in terms of marine life except some nice colorful corals, little fish, some lion fish, and puffer fish. If you’re after that, it’s not the best place to go to. You can take a boat trip for snorkeling around the nearby islands better known for snorkeling and diving but if you’ve been to the Maldives or other amazing places renowned for that, you’d be somewhat disappointed. 2-The owners must consider adding a games room with a pool table (billiards), a ping-pong table, and darts so that guests can entertain themselves in the evenings or during the daytime. There’s not much to do on the small island except some water sport when the sea is calm and biking around the island town. We hope to have that game room for our next visit 😌 Thank you for a memorable time in Kokomo! 😌 We appreciate all the small touches and of course, the overall experience. Well done! We hope to return soon.More

This resort really lives up to it’s 5 star reviews. Even before I booked my enquiry emails were promptly and efficiently answered and everything was beautifully organised including transfers. As others have said the service and location is hard to beat and there are lots...of thoughtful touches like insect repellent on the tables (although we weren’t troubled to much by insects). I was also very impressed by the environmental impact of the business was considered. The was noticeably little plastic and it real sense that this business worked with the local economy and environment to enrich it rather than just profit from it. It worked really well. I would recommend anyone booking to book direct with hotel, it’s easy and means less of your money goes to a third party. The only slight downside is that it is a coral beach, there is a pontoon you can use, but I would recommend bringing some water shoes. There’s a lot more wonderful things I could say, it’s difficult to condense them into a short review, but we really enjoyed our stay and plan to go again.More

KOKOMO IS AVERAGE** AS FAR AS FOOD, VALUE AND SERVICE GO BUT THE NEAT OUTSIDE TABLES UNDER THE BEACH-SIDE TREES GIVES IT A PLUS. **mind you, AVERAGE for the typical LOMBOK/BALI MID-RANGE TOURIST RESTAURANT IS PRETTY GOOD….would rate ABOVE AVERAGE in the west. I can’t...resist an attractive setting and when passing KOKOMO, noticed the neat outside dining tables at KOKOMO’s restaurant, I couldn’t resist. ALFRESCO – check. Under some neat shade trees – CHECK. Looking out over the beach, pier area and bay towards mainland LOMBOK – check. So I took a seat and ordered a beer and starters from the comprehensive menu (being a budget traveler, I tend to order the less expensive stuff – but the neighbouring table’s seeafood plates and bottle of white looked pretty tempting). Service was the usual excellent thing, the starter itself was pretty good (I went with the VEGETABLE STACK which wasn’t small and had a lot of salad-like stuff on the side), waiting time not excessive and price, although mid-range by local standards, was a relative bargain in western terms. WAIT – THERE’S MORE! The restaurant has a big-open sided undercover area for inclement weather or if all the outside shade is taken. Includes a stand-up bar. Gets better – the associated resort (KOKOMO is associated with the GILI FAST BOAT company who naturally wants to present above average accommodation/eating at their GEDE destination. To this end there is a nice small pool abt 50m noth-west of the alfresco area (the only non-villa resort with a pool on the island – trust me, I checked them all). So I made myself legit by buying another beer and carting it poolside to a sun-lounge table. Who needs to stay upmarket with this sort of deal? The restaurant had posted a vigilant waiter for the pool area – my beer motto is: IF A BIT’S GOOD, A LOT’S BETTER. So I ordered another one or three. Half way thru I decided to brush up on my MR. SMOOTH routine with BIRGITTE, THE STRING BIKINI BABE FROM BREMEN at the adjacent sunlounge. “Hi, I’m Blacky. Do you talk to strange guys? That’s OK, I’m not strange”. Silence and a condescending smile. I don’t understand - worked a charm back in ‘74.! Maybe I should lose the walking stick.More

The restaurant is inside the resort, and the only way to get there is by boat. The beach wasnt what we expect but the service and food from restaurant exced our expectation. Discover that the restaurant have a organic edible garden nurture from the air...condicioner water was amazing. Food was fresh, good size portion for main course and staff extremely friendly and prompt. Loved the prawn ravioli. Good kids menu. Only point to considered was beer not really cold. We loved go to the restaurant and next time we try the rooms. Loved.More
