The Dungeon is a casual dining restaurant at Ashford Castle. The menu features Irish dishes almost exclusively. The food is quite good, but certainly not outstanding. The service, however, is superlative.

The Dungeon is located in the basement of Ashford Castle. It features local dishes like Irish stew with locally sourced ingredients. We had a tasty meal and good service.

This is a casual dining option in Ashford castle. Reservations are still recommended. Service was good overall, although the staff appear eager to over-please and look rushed at times. Our food was very tasty. Specifically the lamb's neck Irish stew was very good. The attire...More

For our last night at the castle we decided to try it out. The wine selection is impressive and I recommend the Pinot noir from Finlayson. There is a little selection for the menu but everything was great. Irish meat selection and very nice service!...More

Great people with a warm welcome. The food and drinks are very good, however I would not class it as exceptional. Expect to pay over €120 depending on your choice of wine. For a 5 Star hotel the food could be better.More
