This place had amazing food and service but more casual atmosphere. We wanted to sit next to each other and I am a vegetarian and they had no problem accommodating both things.

The Dungeon is a casual dining restaurant at Ashford Castle. The menu features Irish dishes almost exclusively. The food is quite good, but certainly not outstanding. The service, however, is superlative.

This is a casual dining option in Ashford castle. Reservations are still recommended. Service was good overall, although the staff appear eager to over-please and look rushed at times. Our food was very tasty. Specifically the lamb's neck Irish stew was very good. The attire...More

As its name would suggest, the unique setting located on the lower ground floor of the castle invites diners to enjoy a range of satisfying dishes from the bistro-style menu with a focus on traditional Irish cuisine beneath the historic curved stone ceiling. Together with a relaxed ambience, it makes for a wonderful and memorable dining experience.
