The cafe is located right across the Newtown train station, easy to spot and extremely convenient. We were seated right away and the menu was given within seconds, impressive service, I must say. Our orders came just 10-15minutes after ordering and considering it was a Saturday brunch, that was really quick. My friend had the cheesy risotto, while I just... More

After our dire and foodless experience at "Twelve Newtown" (see my review for details,) we decided to risk brunch here. Good choice of food, reasonable prices, and, thank god, quick service. My wife had the "Newtown breakfast", I had the salmon on corn fritters, we both had flat whites. The food was generous, well cooked, and the service was very... More

Visited this place a few days ago and I was totally blown off my feet by the quality and presentation of the food. I had a bacon and egg sliders in two buns. I wasn't expecting much but when I bit into it, my taste buds were going crazy! I've never tasted anything as good in my life and I'll... More

Terrible service, nil score on the friendly scale, waitress made us feel like we were taking up her time, waste of money, food was boring, unimaginative and tasteless. This place used to have a cool vibe and was okay in the food stakes. Observed all staff and no-one smiles, it's like they couldn't wait til their shift ended, it's all... More

We used to come here regularly due to the awesome menu, great vibe and fantastic staff. But it has changed a lot. The menu now states "No changes of substitutions", the table we sat at was dirty and the cool Newtown vibe was gone. My husband had to add copious amounts of sugar to his coffee just to make it... Disappointing. Perfect location, food looked delicous, average service. Coffee was luke warm, my sweet came before main, chicken was cold. Such a shame... Heading elsewhere.

Had to try this corner café in the heart of trendy Newtown. It's at the main intersection and across the road from the railway station. A fabulous place for watching the world go by, especially the people, and a place to be seen. Wait staff are great, very efficient and attentive without being pushy. Good coffee and my afternoon snack... More

Heavens! When you come to Café Newtown Mezze Bar you are more likely to get your order mixed up than if you went to the local McDonalds. The food is often presented in a bad way, and breakfast - the most important meal of the day - is always unhealthy and full of saturated fats and salt. Give this place... More

We have been there couple of times and never left disappointed. Really big and delicious breakfast, nice coffees, what to need more! Sandwich with grilled veggies is my absolute best choice ever! If uou are not a meat lover you will find a lot of things, not only egg&bacon;)
