Lovely little restaurant in Ballinspittle. We we’re staying in Kilbrittain nearby so it was a toss up between here and Monks Lane.
The waitress who greeted us was very nice and the service overall was excellent. The restaurant was full when we there and the atmosphere was great. We liked the music also…lovely but not overbearing.
My wife really enjoyed her starter (garden courgette) but mine, crab and prawn pil pil, wasn’t great and was definitely overpriced at €15 considering the size of the portion. It also came with two large slabs of bread which simply didn’t match the dish. Would have been nice as an appetiser with some home-made butter!
For mains I got the scampi which was very good and she got the hake which was cooked perfectly and had three large prawns in their shells on top. The risotto which it came with was a little bland.
With a few tweaks to the menu this place would be seriously good. Would certainly recommend a visit nevertheless.

We are a family of 2 adults and 6 kids and we all really enjoyed our outdoor dining meal at Wild. We shared 3 starters and 3 desserts, along with our mains and we were all totally stuffed!
We tried to walk in on a Wednesday night but just too busy so we booked for the next evening and spent the day working up an appetite at the nearby beach.
Food was really tasted, lovely presented, interesting menu and v friendly service. One of the kids got a blanket as it was a little chilly and our dog was offered water by our waitress, all lovely warm touches.
A really lovely experience. Wish I lived closer.

We went to this relatively new restaurant in the centre of the village twice just after lockdown and we ate outside due to the regulations.
The Good.
1. The staff had put in so much effort to make the place available during restrictions with a new covered area outside. On both occasions it rained heavily and the staff did a great job of keeping us comfortable. They really went the extra mile!
2. The location is good as there are not many options in the vicinity. It is innthe middle of the village and parking is easy.
3. The menu options were varied and the food itself was superb. It was so good we went back a 2nd time.
For starters, on the first night, I had pork belly salad with apples and it was superb. The main course hake with tomato, garlic and leeks with cous cous was also really tasty and the portion was huge. The steak on the second night was excellent and my wife had a really tasty chicken burger one day and zingy ribs the second day. All were excellent.
Desserts were limited but both the chocolate and sticky toffee puddings were good.
4. A good range of beers and reasonably priced wine and excellent coffee.
5. The service was exceptionally good. Very friendly and bubbly service at a pretty relaxed place.
The Bad.
Nothing really.
Overall
A great restaurant with tasty food and superb service on the Wild Atlantic Way

A small tidy village hosts a wonderful restaurant - just 5 minutes from Kinsale the Wild is amazing. Terrific menu, excellent service, friendly & helpful server the meal was superb and very well priced! Was gr8 recommendation from our host at Rivermount B&B I had the Tai curry and it was lovely & flavourful without being overly spicy. My companions had the pork belly and the lamb rump and were equally impressed. Thank you so much!

Oh my goodness, this was exceptional! From the warm welcome Simone gave us, to her husband Rob the chef taking us home as the local taxi wasn’t answering their phone, this is one of my nicest restaurant experiences ever.
The ambience is low key, warm and relaxing. We ate delicious spring rolls with satay sauce, langoustines, the best blue cheese salad, toasted walnut and pear salad and a very good sticky toffee pudding. A joy from start to finish 😊❤️

This was our first time here, we were really impressed with this place. We had starter, main & dessert. We could not fault it. The food is delicious, just tasty flavours, cooked perfectly. One of our party had dietary requirements that are new to them, so eating out can be daunting. There was no problem with any request & the staff who seemed young were very professional & checked & came back with great options. Other than that the place looks good, lovely atmosphere. I couldn't say enough good things about this place, we will be back.

We lived on the takeaway menu through that last lockdown, which was brilliantly adapted to food that could travel for take away and still taste fantastic. Delighted to attend the brilliantly equipped veranda Wild have built to taste the new menu this evening and it did not disappoint. The chicken burger (that was not like a chicken burger I have ever had before) was frankly amazing, the sauces were wonderful and my sister devoured the Prawn Pil Pil and Scallop Special. The cherry and chocolate indulgence should probably never be spoken of in polite company, it was genuinely obscene and to die for. Simone and Rob - you are doing an amazing job - long may it continue. Liz

We went to this restaurant during an evening in July.The staff were very friendly and Good Tempered.The Starter of Spring rolls was ONE OF THE BEST STARTERS I EVER HAD. The rest of the dishes both mains and desserts were both delicious. Overall I would give this restaurant 10/10 for the food and staff.Would definetly Recommend ...Katie

This is a wonderful restaurant and would highly recommend it. The food, service and atmosphere were so good that we returned for a second night. The passion fruit cheesecake was the best cheesecake we have ever tasted! Looking forward to returning there in the future.

Our hotel concierge (Ola) got us into this busy restaurant and we were so happy to be able to experience it. The decor, staff and food were all amazing. Such a cute tow and a wonderful gem of a place to enjoy it.

Great food great people
We booked a meal for three people on Sunday at 18:30 and the whole experience was perfect- food was great( take a bow Chef) - while Rob was off that evening his menu was top class and by the amount of items that were crossed off by then they have hit the menu selection perfectly.
The pork belly was exceptional and there was a decent size portion.
The service was excellent- really good people who checked every so often.

Advice to anyone down this neck of the woods. Do not miss this gem!!!!!
We have spent our summers in GTown for 23 years. Always extricated ourselves from the kids once a week to eat in Kinsale/Timoleague .
We are wild about Wild.!!!!
And to have it on our doorstep is such a bonus.
Awesome food, delightful environment and super service. So happy this husband/ wife team reopened their doors post lockdown. .
Hands down beats or matches the best Kinsale has to offer!

Our local bistro is always superb. Chef is owner with wife and always provides the freshest fish caught that week. Menu changes all the time and is seasonal. Love all their fish dishes especially boulibaisse and their Spring rolls. My grandson is addicted to their seafood curry (just gorgeous) and hot spicy wings and their crème brûlée cheesecake.
Always good and can recommend to anyone. Love that you can phone and book no annoying internet only none sense.

One of my fave restaurants. I just love the atmosphere, service and of course the food! I love how it can vary and the seafood is always good. One of the best steaks I’ve ever had. I enjoy how the sides are not your regular mash or chips. Beautiful gratin (I’m sure it was leek and blue cheese I could be wrong) but the flavours are so so good. Last time I had halloumi and courgette fritters croquettes which were just super tasty and pork belly.Delish! I have yet to be disappointed in a dish.
The staff are amazing and so accommodating. It’s family run and I always like supporting local businesses. Worth a visit. I will say it’s probably not the place for very fussy eaters as it is more fine dining but that’s what I enjoy. Great for families (lovely kids menu) and couples or friends.

Visited last night and I have to say it was the nicest meal we have had in a long time hands down .
Was sick of mediocre food in other restaurants especially as we are in gourmet capital of Ireland BUT WIlD was OUTSTANDING.
The whole ambiance of the place was charming with lovely decor and great staff .
Food was locally sourced, attractively presented , delicious and above all different to the usual stuff served elsewhere .
Have booked again .
