We had the lunch of the day. Chicken, Simple, well made. priced correctly. The couvert ( ok, we did not ask for it, but whatever. If you don't eat it, it is not on your bill. ) was excellent ham freshly cut, very good cheese...and perfect sausage. People are very friendly as well. We certainly recommend this place.More

DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE......... it is a RIP-OFF for vary basic food, which was not well cooked.!!! You are presented with very expensive couvert (that you did not order - now illegal in Portugal) , poor wine and poor food...... then hit with...an exorbitant bill. They spot foriegners ( and lets face it we are easy to spot) and target them. It is the only restaurant ( and I use the work reluctantly ) for miles and KNOWS this.....do yourself, your stomach and your pocket a favour.......drive past !!!More

Staff are very helpful. We got there at 12h with no reservation and had luck. We managed to have a table, but it is better to book in advance. It is a very requested place. Food is amazing. We were 5 people, asked for 4...different dishes and shared. We also had some starters (cheeses bread and olives). Desserts are also very good, homemade!! Spot on! :)More

Nice friendly restaurant with locally sourced menu of exceptional large portions.We elected for three main courses of Lamb, Pork 🐖and Octopus 🐙which was enough for four. There was a nice cover of bread butter olives with sardine pate and ham cheese 🧀 sausage 🥖Copious of...amounts House Red wine was consumed with two of us electing for desserts and three coffees with one liqueur and a beer. We book the restaurant to go for dinner with a friend visiting from abroad. I had the cabidela and my husband and our friend shared the ensopado de cabrito. Both had fantastic flavors and remind me the food at home with my family! A place...to come back for sure!!!More

I went to Casa dos Presuntos on 8/19/18 with my brother, my parents and a couple of friends. I have been to Casa dos Presuntos quite a few time and we had my Parents 50th Wedding Anniversary catered by them. I had never written a...review about them before so I decided to do it now. If you want authentic regional Cuisine, this is the place to go. You cannot go wrong with any of the dishes. I have tried almost every dish on the menu and find it hard to decide what I should have since everything is so good. Typically we order a bunch of different entrees and share them. This time around we did the same. We order the black pig cheeks, Lamb roasted in the oven, wild boar Stew, Venison Stew, and also “ Perdiz” a wild bird typically from the Algarve region that is similar to a Partridge. Every thing was absolutely amazing. The also have a huge selection of wines which we took full advantage of. The owners and staff are the friendliest people you can ever meet and will do anything to accommodate your food and beverage needs. They also have a great selection of deserts. I could not decide between two of the deserts so I had both. They have a pastry called “ Torta de Alfarroba” which is from the Carib tree. The desert is to die for. A must try for anyone that appreciates deserts. They also have great “ Aguardente de Medronho” which is a fruit that is almost exclusively found in the Algarve region. The fruit is picked from a “Strawberry Tree” not an actual strawberry. Everytime I visit the Algarve I go to Casa dos Presuntos at least once and sometimes multiple times depending on how long my stay is. If you want an authentic regional food experience go and try it. You will not be disappointed. I guarantee you. They also have a small bed and breakfast I would call it. Very reasonably priced and Breakfast is included. They also just built a beautiful pool. We came back to this restaurant again and this time with a toddler. They were very accommodating and friendly and we thoroughly enjoyed our lunch on the outside terrace, especially with the view of the fire trucks in the car park, it made the 2...year olds day! Thank you casa dos presuntos!More

Lovely drive up from Loulé - about 25 minutes through cork forests with great mountain views. We had roast octopus, black pork and lamb stew all excellent. Delicious wine and lovely homemade desserts. Great, relaxed, rural retreat - highly recommended.

Visited early weekday evening, we had full choice of where to sit. The owner is great and speaks very good English, which is great because my Portuguese is terrible. We were given several recommendation before going, which we tried. The lamb stew is great, very...tasty. House wine is a very good standard. Beware not to fill up on the appetiser, main courses are very generous. Very good selection of home made desserts. A very good evening, certainly will be going back.More
