Loved this pub. Warm and relaxing and perfect after a four mile walk with our nine year old. He was in need of chips we were in need of wine and beer! Lovely atmosphere and welcoming staff. A true British pub 🍷🍻

Visited with 2 small kids. Staff very helpful and friendly. Food was great. Sausage pick n mix was fab. Home cooked. Puddings were delicious! Muddy boots not an issue.

Nice pub, nice setting, food was dreadful. Overcooked, very likely warmed through in a microwave. Would never go back to eat.

This pub looked inviting from the outside, food also looked great. We were going to eat in there but the bar man was so unwelcoming we decided not to bother. The locals were also unfriendly on Wednesday night. Shame

The hikers pub is the perfect stop after a long walk . Prices are decent and the food portions are huge . It's animal friendly and clean . The only problem I had with this pub was the customer service , not really customer friendly when we arrived , a worker going off at a another guest . However overall... More

From the outside, the pub looks so welcoming and quaint and seemed like the perfect pitstop after a long trek around the Kinder Plateau. Unfortunately, it would appear that the pub relies on the guaranteed footfall from the large amount of walkers in the area. The chef's special was a large Yorkshire Pudding filled with mash and a beef stew.... More
