- had a traditional food "pirohy"
- this traditional food should be filled with local traditional Slovakian cheese, but there was not enough of it, disappointment
- the portion was too big
- paid parking
- service very tired
+ good value for money
This was one of the best meals we had in Slovakia. The service was perfect, quality of food was perfect and portions were huge.
A little difficult to find as it's in the basement of a building but this is absolutely the best place to...eat in town and is a hidden gem. Lots of street parking as well outside at a cost of 1 euro.
Highly recommend you try here.More
We have been to this locally famous restaurant to the courtesy of one of the receptionist at Alexandra Hotel where we were staying for a night only.
It took about less than 10 minutes on foot from our hotel and was very quiet at about...7pmmfor dinner.Menu was surprisingly very large and also in English with mostly local dishes.Ordered some chicken with salad and some local beers for three of us.Food was tasty and beers were cold enough.Liked the house and athmosphere very much,After 8pm more people came to dine and what we have observed that many people comes in for dinner, eats and drinks bery fast and go home or to his hotel. As there is nothing more to do after 9pm at this small Town, streets are empty and you can hardly see any pedestrian or vehicle moving around. So we left the house before 9pm and headed to our hotel. We strongly recommend this eatery dor dining as they have good menu and fair price.More
There are not many places to go for a good meal in Puchov.
The "black raven", as it is called by travelers is the first address for most of business travelers.
Hard to find the first time - close to Puchov city center. It is...in the basement, just a samll sign can be seen from the street.
German and English are the typical background languages yiou can hear.
The menues are in Slovak and English, which makes decisions a lot easier and reduces surprises.
The prices are really ok and the meals are ok too and definietly worth the price.
The ribs and pork knuckle didn't really convince me, but chicken and steaks were good.
The service is polite and fast. English orders are taken easily.
Don' try to order meals after 9PM - be there in time, if you are hungry.More
