Really nice atmosphere and food . A typical finnish house near the lake with tasty meals. Discover it out of the main city

Fantastic restaurant with a great ambience. The owner talked us through all the food she served and the history of the building and local people. I had mushroom soup, fish with herbal potatoes and mud pudding... Delicious. The food was so good I booked a...hotel room to come back in a months time. Couldn't recommend enough, very nice meal.More
Delicious local ingredients used throughout all courses. The ambiance was excellent with a huge open fireplace.
Friendly service with a possibility to taste berry-based local "vines". Traditional menu with some intresting extras (fried bee-larva). Assumingly best in Jamsa
Thank You for your kind words! You are warmly welcomed back while visiting Finland and #himosjämsä .
We chose Ravintola Patapirtti to host a family meal to celebrate my parents’ 50th wedding anniversary. Tarja was amazing from start to finish, she was so helpful and flexible throughout the planning and the day itself. The food was amazing and the restaurant had a...lovely cosy atmosphere. I thoroughly recommend Ravintola Patapirtti.More
We hosted a large family party for 25 people here and had an excellent experience throughout. The manager Tarja was very friendly, helpful and flexible throughout planning the occasion and the day itself. Just one thing to be aware of - their emails can be...somewhat unreliable as a means of communication - if you don’t get a reply try a different means of communicating. The restaurant is a very cosy log cabin with a larger room seating around 30 (with a traditional Finnish stone fireplace) and a smaller room seating around 15. In late December it had a very Christmassy atmosphere. We were eating from a set menu but the food was exceptionally good, a simple healthy salad starter followed by an excellent beef stew with potatoes and seasonal vegetables. A traditional celebration cake was also very good. The wine list was short, somewhat obscure and not especially cheap, but the quality of the wines was very good. They sell a line in local berry wines for consumption or to take away as well as more conventional grape based ones, but we did not try those. Service was very good throughout. All in all I would rate this the best restaurant experience I have enjoyed in the Jämsä area.More
Like a family member. Is what you feel in this restautant. Food always done with respect and attention.
We loved the setting, with a centuries old wooden building by a lake. The dining area is very homely, with large wooden log walls and traditional decoration. The food was good, I chose the vegetarian option (redbeet steak), my wife chose the fish and the...kids went for the meat. We took glasses of one of the dry berry wines produced at the property. The service was friendly and homely. The small word of caution is that when approaching the restaurant by car it looks like someone’s private home, but provided you follow the signs all is OK.More
This has to be the best restaurant in the Jamsa area. Excellent food, welcoming and polite hosts, good table service. Will not hesitate to return here
We visited with the family during a ski break. To reach the place you got to drive through a bit of a countryside after a turn off the highway. Wheb we arrived we weren’t even sure we’re in a right place - it looks like...someone’s countryside house. But the place is well worth the visit - the entrees we took (beef and grilled cheese) were quite good, and blue cheese and house steaks were absolutely delicious. We were very satisfied - there is not much choice in the area, so this place is a gem.More
