From sushi to salad to fritters and mains comprising Chinese, Vietnamese, Thai cuisines....it's an okay destination for a multi-cuisine buffet meal. The taste is average for discerning customers but the service and multiple food options are good.

If you like asian food, this is a good choice for lunch. Good selection from varietes of different asian foods. Buffet is not that great, preferably order from the menu. Friendly service.

Royal Mekong offers bufet every day which includes sushi and other typical asian soups and food.
The prices are affordable, the food is average. But actually nice way to have quick asian food if you don't want to travel to get it.
The staff is smily and helpful.
I recommend it as a nice place to visit if you like something different to eat and you don't want to go far or spend much money.

At least the three course menu as a dinner wasn't special. It was very basic school lunch type but Asian style food. Maybe a real dinner dish could have been better. I may try this place again, but won't take the same menu again. It didn't taste fresh, more like it was made from canned goods.

I was pleasantly surprised of our lunch in the restaurant. It was easy to see that the staff is proud of their work. Place was clean, buffet included tasty sushi and asian dishes. We're mainly vegetarians and there were enough variety for us. Buffet quality is way better than what is normally served in Finland. The restaurant is located in a shopping center and it is lacking a bit of atmosphere. It might help if they would decorate a lower cealing. Now the height of the place make it look a bit of a hall. Highly recommend the place!

I have visited here a few times with my friends and have always taken the buffet. The selection is very tasty and big enough. The only problem here is that, if you take the lunch buffet, your stomach will be close to exploding at the end!

Im not sure if we even asked for recommendations but the dish recommended by the waitress was a perfect fit for our taste! I dont even know what it actually was or what it was called. I didnt know what i was eating as i was eating it and the taste was very strange but very perfect! That single dish has to be the best in Hyvinkää!

Nice place, lots of space and room for customers. A typical asian restaurant with a typical buffet. While the interior was nice the food (buffet on saturday afternoon) was quite bad. Everything was bland and tasteless, especially the rice.

I was visiting restaurant Royal Mekong yesterday with my family in Hyvinkää Finland. The menu was very good with lots of different choices for every taste. I had Hot shrimp soup ”Tom yam” for starters and it was excellent and spicy enough (getting hot & spicy is often times difficult in Finland as Finns normally like moderately spiced meals).
As main course I had Red ”Saraman” Curry with chicken and rice (optional: beef, jumbo shrimps or fish).
I wanted to have my Curry portion extra hot and it was absolutely fabulous. The service was very professional and friendly.
Hyvinkää is rather far from Helsinki Metropolitan Area and therefore the place is perhaps not the most convenient choice in working days but in a week end – or in case you happen to drive to Hämeenlinna or Tampere – I would absolutely recommend you go to Royal Mekong and enjoy a great meal!

If you like asian cuisine, I recommend this place for lunch buffet, and dining. Very nice interior, and for the 9,50 euro you will get a good selection of asian cuisine in the buffet table that is available also in weekends (12,50 euro). You can also select meals from a la carte menu.
